Minecraft: enchanting items. Enchanting commands in Minecraft. Enchantment Enchantment for a pickaxe in Minecraft

Enchanting is the application of additional effects to weapons, armor or tools using an enchantment table or. An enchanted item receives one or more enchantments, the type of enchantment depending on the type of item. To enchant, you need to right-click on the enchantment table, put an item in the left slot, and 1-3 in the right slot, then you need to choose one of three possible enchantment options, and you need to have a certain number of experience levels up to 30. Before enchanting, you can only see one future effect. In addition, in order to be able to enchant objects to a level higher than 8, you need to install bookshelves around the table (necessarily every 1 block), for the maximum enchantment level - 15 bookshelves.

All ways to obtain enchanted items:

Place the item on the enchanting table. Some items are more likely to receive high-level enchantments than others. There is also an element of randomness involved, so there are no guarantees, but remember the following:

  • Gold items have the highest chance of enchanting high-level items, but due to their low durability, enchanting them is not so profitable, of course, if you don’t mind the extra experience. The same goes for wooden tools and leather armor, but their enchantment level will be much worse than that of gold items.
  • Enchanting iron swords and tools is slightly better than diamond ones. However, diamond armor is still superior to iron armor.

Place the lapis lazuli in the second cell. In version 1.8, all enchantments require lapis lazuli. If you want to enchant an item to the maximum (lower enchantment slot), then each enchantment will require 3 lapis lazuli from you.

Hover your mouse over the item. In version 1.8, the ability to view enchantments before selecting them was added. To do this, just hover your mouse over the charm. You are guaranteed to receive these enchantments, and if you are lucky, three or more.

  • Enchant an item to reset enchantment options. You will not be able to change the available enchantment options without selecting one of them. However, these three enhancements will be different for each item, and if you enchant one of the items, you will reset these enhancements for all items at once. For example, if you don't like sword enchantments, look at the available enchantments for bows, tools, armor, or fishing rods. If you enchant one of these items, you will see that enchanting the sword has new enchantments.

    • If you find all upgrade options useless, then choose the cheapest (top) enchantment to spend only 1 level and 1 lapis lazuli. Use the book to add an enchantment to an item on an anvil, as described below.
  • Upgrade an enchanted item using an anvil. To craft an anvil, you will need three iron blocks (top row) and four iron ingots (bottom row and center cell). Among other things, at the anvil you can combine enchanted objects and transfer enchantments from books to them, paying for it with your experience. Here's how it works:

    • Books have a poor chance of getting a good enchantment, but they can be combined with any other item at an anvil.
    • At the anvil, you can combine two identical items (by material and type) to restore strength and combine enchantments.
    • Before combining enchanted items, make sure their enchantments are compatible. (See section "Warnings"). If the enchantments are not compatible, then the enchantment on the second item will be lost.
  • Made from any material.

The encrypted text on the buttons does not have any meaning and is not associated with enchantment, as it is compiled randomly from a list of words. However, the level affects what enchantments can be obtained. Many enchantments have multiple levels, and it is also possible to get multiple enchantments on a single item, and as the cost increases, the likelihood of getting a more valuable item increases. Typically, the most expensive item on the menu will yield the best enchantment combination.

The best option for placing bookshelves around the enchanting table.

The maximum experience level at which an item can be enchanted increases when bookcases are placed one block away from the enchanting table. After 1.3, the cost of enchantments is calculated using the formula:

    A basic level of (base)= (1..8 + (b/2) + 0..b),

    Level in top slot = max ( base/ 3, 1) Level in the middle slot = ( base× 2) / 3 + 1 Level in the bottom slot = max ( base, b × 2)

Where b- number of nearby bookcases. No more than 15 cabinets are taken into account, standing at table level or 1 block higher with a gap of one block from the table (5x5 square with the table in the center), there should be no blocks between the table and cabinets (not even snow, torches, etc. ), otherwise the corresponding cabinets will not be used. Thus, if you need to enchant something, but the character’s level is not enough, using torches you can temporarily “turn off” the cabinets and lower the enchantment level.

    Notes

    Enchanting mechanics

Stage 1 - Enchantment Level Modifiers

The result of the process, that is, the type and level of enchantment, depends on how many experience points you spend on enchanting an item. Before you begin choosing the set of enchantments that will be placed on an item, the game makes several calculations to convert the experience points invested into enchantment points. To start with the basics enchantment points equal to nested experience points.

base enchantment points = experience points spent

Then two modifiers are applied. Each modifier is a random number from a certain range, selected using a triangular distribution algorithm, that is, the probability of a value falling out of the center of the range is higher than the probability of obtaining boundary values.

The first modifier is the “enchantability” of the item, which depends on the material and type of the item. For bows and books, the enchantability is 1. The game chooses a number between 0 and half the table value (actually integer division by 4 and multiplication by 2) and adds one to it. This number is then added to the enchantment points.

Then a value in the range [ 0.85 ... 1.15 ] (triangular distribution is used again). Modified enchantment points are multiplied by this number and rounded down to the nearest integer (as a result, enchantment points can be increased or decreased by up to 15%).

Stage 2 - search for possible enchantments

The final enchantment points are used to select possible enchantments according to the table below.

    Enchant Armor Level
    I II III IV V
    Protection 1 - 21 12 - 32 23 - 43 34 - 54 -

    Indestructibility 5 - 55 13 - 63 21 - 71 -
    Luck 15 - 65 24 - 74 33 - 83 -

Stage 3 - selecting enchantments from the list

To get, for example, “Protection II”, you need to end up with a number of final enchantment points that will be in the range of 12-32, but this does not guarantee the application of this particular enchantment. If the final enchantment score falls within multiple ranges, the result is chosen at random from all possible enchantments, with enchantments with higher weights having a higher chance of casting.

    Enchant "weight" table:

    Armor Spells Weight
    Protection 10

    Multiple Enchantments

After the first effect is applied, a check is made for further enchantments (except for books that receive only one enchantment):

    1. Modified enchantment points are divided in half. This does not affect the list of possible enchantments, since it was already calculated in the second step.
    2. There is a chance ((modified enchantment points + 1) / 50) that the enchantment will continue.
    3. Incompatible ones are removed from the list of available charms.
    4. From the remaining enchantments, an enchantment is randomly selected (as before, based on the weight of the enchantment) and applied to the item.
    5. The algorithm is repeated from point 1.

    Incompatible Charms

Some enchant combinations cannot be obtained on a single item. These rules also apply to anvil repairs.

    • Every effect conflicts with itself. Thus, you cannot get an instrument with multiple copies of the same effect.
    • All defense enchantments conflict with each other (although Lightness is implemented as a defense, it does not follow this rule).
    • All increased damage enchantments conflict with each other.
    • Silk Touch and Luck conflict with each other. In fact, even if you get a pickaxe with this combination using mods or inventory editors, it will not give the effect of “infinite resources” - Luck will not work on a pickaxe with Silk Touch and when mining diamond, red, etc. ores will simply fall out in blocks, in normal quantities.

    Reference diagrams

Dependence of possible enchantments on the level on diamond tools since 1.3.1.

The above tables contain technical values from the game code and are of little use in practice. More realistic data on the basis of which you can determine at what level you need to enchant objects in order to get the enchantment you are interested in can be found (English).

(English) there is a probability calculator, reference tables, a description of the enchanting mechanism and some other data.

    Spells

Spells are composed randomly. Three to four words are selected from the list and combined to form the name of the spell. The names are random and do not depend on the selected item, level or set of enchantments. Thus, the spell is a cosmetic detail that plays no role in the mechanics and is not saved with the item, but only displayed in the magic table window.

    Story

    • The first information about the enchanting table appeared on September 30, 2011, when Notch tweeted about it.
    • On October 1st, 2011, Notch tweeted a screenshot of an enchantment window with spells written in the Standard Galactic Alphabet. The first spell can be deciphered as “Well Played Internets You Are Good” ( Well played, Internets, You're Great), the second as "These Names Will Be Random And Confusing" ( These Names Will Be Random And Confusing), and the third “Each Spell Costs Experience Levels” ( Each Spell Will Cost Experience Levels). The Standard Galactic Alphabet or SGA was created by Tom Hall for the game Commander Keen.
    • Jeb mentioned that there might be a spell added that would give bonus damage to "undead" when asking for help with a name for the spell. His choice settled on the name "Smite".
    • Enchantment was introduced in Beta 1.9pre2. To obtain high levels, bookcases were not needed. Many enchantments have not yet been added.
    • As of Beta 1.9pre4, enchantments costing more than five experience points are not available unless you place bookcases close to the magic table. The number of cabinets increases the level of available spells. The table, flanked by six cabinets on each side (with a one-block aisle), gives access to 14th-level spells. The table, surrounded by thirty cabinets (two layers, fifteen each), gives access to spells up to level 50.
    • As of 12w05a, no experience is required to enchant in creative mode.
    • As of 12w06a, golden swords and bows dropped as rare drops have a small chance of already being enchanted.
    • As of 12w17a, you can once again mine ice and glass panels using Silk Touch tools.
    • In version 12w22a (1.3.1), the enchantment system was changed, and now the maximum spell level is 30. At the same time, some higher-level enchantments (for example, Strength V for a bow) became unavailable.
    • Also, since version 12w22a, you can enchant tools from a priest in an NPC village for a certain price in emeralds.
    • Since 12w23a, in multiplayer you can see the shine of enchanted tools and armor on other players.
    • With 12w34b, bows with Combustion can activate TNT.
    • In 12w41a (1.4.2), an anvil was added, which can be used to combine enchantments of multiple items and increase their level. This brought back the ability to obtain enchantments that were not available since 1.3.1.
    • Since 12w49a (1.4.6), the ability to enchant books has been added.
    • In 12w50a (1.4.6), the Thorns enchantment was added.

    Data

    • Enchanted items gain a glowing field around them. Editing glint.png in .minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar\misc can change the color of the glow.
    • By the way, a golden apple has a similar glow.
    • Normally repairing an enchanted item destroys the enchantment. Forging on an anvil preserves, adds and enhances enchantments.
    • Interestingly, three of the possible words for the spell are "the elder scrolls", perhaps a joke on Bethesda, which sued Mojang for claiming that the Scrolls game in development violated Bethesd's copyright on the "The Elder Scrolls" series of games. Elder Scrolls."
    • "Klaatu berata niktu" is a corruption of the phrase "Klaatu barada nikto" from the film The Day the Earth Stood Still. This phrase is more famous from the movie Army of Darkness, and "xyzzy" is a spell from the game Colossal Cave Adventure and has been used in several other games as an Easter egg or cheat.
    • All tools, swords and armor enchanted before Beta 1.9pre4 will be enchanted as "Lightness I".
    • In 1.4.4 Pre-release, the /enchant command was added to apply specific enchantments.

Enchanting is the imposition of special properties on weapons, tools or armor using the enchanting table. Since version 1.8, lapis lazuli is required for enchanting. Enchantments cost experience and lapis lazuli, with more powerful enchantments requiring more experience and more lapis lazuli.

To enchant an item, place it in a cell in the interface of the enchanting table (RMB on the table to open). After placing an item on the right, three random enchantment options will appear, with the cost in experience levels indicated by the number on the right. The player can choose any of them, if he has enough experience for this, for enchanting to the maximum level, 3 lapis lazuli is required, when enchanting to the maximum level from lvl 30, only 3 lvl is taken for enchanting.

You can enchant any elements of armor, swords, bows, pickaxes, axes, shovels, hoes, scissors, shields, elytras, lighters, fishing rods. Some items can only be enchanted using an anvil.

Level affects what enchantments can be obtained. Many enchantments have several levels. It is also possible to enchant an item for multiple enchantments. As the cost increases, the likelihood of obtaining a more valuable enchantment increases. Typically, the most expensive item on the menu will yield the best enchantment combination.

Enchanted books and identical items can be combined at an anvil to obtain the highest level of enchantment and combine several enchantments into one item.

And now about new enchantments, completely new enchantments have appeared in the newest versions, I will now tell you how to get them and where to apply them.

Ice drift- turns water into frozen ice, which allows you to walk on the surface of the reservoir (feel like a god: Angelic. Ice melts over time, so you shouldn’t stand in one place for a long time if you don’t want to plunge into the water.
Enchantment level: Ice drift I, Ice drift II.

Repair - uses experience to repair an item in your hands or in armor slots (you can use experience bubbles to repair an item).
You can catch it or buy it from a librarian resident.

Slashing Blade - deals damage to mobs standing next to the target.
Enchantment level: Slashing Blade I, Slashing Blade II, Slashing Blade III.

Curse of Loss- an item with this enchantment will self-destruct if the player dies; it cannot be thrown away, this only happens if the player dies.
You can catch it or buy it from a librarian resident, or enchant it on the table.

Curse of Removability- this enchantment on an item will not allow you to throw it away or remove it from the slot; it drops out of the player only if he dies.

You can catch it or buy it from a librarian resident, or enchant it on the table.

These are all new enchantments added by versions 1.9 - 1.11; no new enchantments were added in 1.12.

Well, I wouldn’t be Needle if I didn’t show you interesting ways to design an enchantment table, maybe this will help someone.

Every day gamers discover something new and interesting for themselves in Minecraft. For example, an enchantment that will not only enhance any of your equipment and give it unique qualities. It will also help in the battle with the enders or in the final battle with the dragon. Why not speed up the learning process with the help of our article?

To enchant an item, you will need a lot of experience, which you can gain by digging ore, killing monsters, or farming. The second thing you need is ultramarine; it is a product of lapis lazuli ore mining and is not in great short supply. And the third is an enchanting table, which is crafted from two diamonds, one book and four obsidian blocks. To make it, first open the workbench table, then place obsidian blocks in all three lower cells, as well as the central one. You need to place one diamond on both sides, and place a book exactly on top of the center. Helpful tip: If you want the enchantment to become stronger, place bookshelves next to the table. They are crafted from six blocks of any wood and three books. To make it easier to understand, the picture below shows diagrams for creating objects.

After you have crafted everything you need and gained experience, go to the enchanting table and right-click on it - a new menu will open. On the left you will see a cell where you should place armor, swords and bows, picks, shovels and axes made of any material, as well as a fishing rod, below you will see your inventory window. Three different enchantment options will appear on the right, with each costing in experience levels. Having selected the one you need, click on it. The item that comes out will glow purple.

There are other ways to enchant, but this requires an enchanted book. It can be found in various treasuries, fortresses, abandoned mines or a temple in the desert. You can also craft it, like any item in the second point. In addition, you will need an anvil. So, go up to it and right-click to open a window with two empty cells. Place the item of equipment on the left, and the book itself on the right, and the latter will be destroyed.

The anvil is quite expensive to craft. To make it you will need four iron ingots and three blocks of iron, in other words you will have to swing a pickaxe. Now open the crafting menu of the workbench and place an iron block on the top cells, do the same with the bottom row and one central slot.

We hope that you will not have any problems with the ability to enchant objects, since this is one of the main opportunities for improving armor and weapons in Minecraft.
