What to serve ice cream in. The design and serving of ice cream is the origin story. How to decorate ice cream with fruits

Ice cream is one of the best desserts that is loved by both children and adults. This product is available in every country. And for many years since its appearance, it has become a constant treat at most home holidays. You can buy ice cream in almost any store. Ice cream design is almost a separate branch of design art. Let's look at how to decorate ice cream at home.

Which dishes to choose

One of the main components of the original approach to serving ice cream is the dishes. Every family's home service probably includes dessert plates. They should be small in size and have low edges. You can use glasses or bowls. It is advisable that the dishes be transparent. You should not serve ice cream in one large bowl; be sure to divide it into portions.

The photo shows an option for decorating ice cream in glasses

If you are using a wide, flat plate, place the ice cream in the center, leaving room for fruit on the sides. You need to put ice cream into the bowl with a special deep spoon that forms balls. If you don’t have one at home, you can use a regular dining room, but you should act carefully. The utensil used is a dessert spoon. It differs from a teahouse in having a long handle and a shallower cup.

How to decorate ice cream with fruits

The most common products for decorating ice cream at home are, of course, fruit. You can use almost all types of them. Chop finely and remove any peel (for example, apples). A very original solution would be to serve ice cream directly in the fruit. A large apple is best. To do this, you need to cut out the middle and top of the fruit. If it is very large (or there is not enough ice cream), then you can cover it with the cut off top of the apple.

The main thing is to remember that fruit is not the main component of the dish, but only a decoration for the ice cream. Therefore, it is important not to overdo it and not pour too much of them. At home, cut fruits may lose their original taste after just a few hours. Therefore, they need to be cut immediately before serving. They should be placed on the dish carefully so that they do not get dirty in the ice cream. The fruits should be striking and contrast brightly with the filling. In restaurants, chefs add a special essence to the dish, which creates sourness. Ice cream at home can be flavored with lemon. You need to squeeze the juice onto the ice cream, then put the ice cream in the refrigerator for a few minutes. Drops of lemon will set and add appeal.

How to decorate ice cream with chocolate at home

Chocolate is an indispensable addition to most desserts, including ice cream. Decorating with chocolate is elegant and easy. Moreover, doing this at home is not difficult. You can use different varieties: from bitter Dutch to regular glaze. The traditional way is to pour melted chocolate over the ice cream. For this, it is better to take milky and non-porous. Many stores sell special tubes of chocolate. At home, you can use a water bath. There are many options for applying chocolate to a dish. You can cover the ice cream with a thick layer of milk chocolate or make small drips of black. If fruits are present, water them too. It will look very piquant.

In addition to melted chocolate, it will look organic if you rub it or put it in small pieces. To get good chips, you should first put the tiles in the refrigerator. You can grate on any grater teeth, depending on what kind of chips you want to get. You need to sprinkle the ice cream before serving to prevent the chocolate from melting and merging with the ice cream. At home, you can use a potato peeler or fish knife to get a thin slice. It fits nicely on top of ice cream scoops. Place small pieces of chocolate around the edges of the dish.

How to decorate ice cream using available products

Decorating ice cream at home depends primarily on your creativity. You don’t have to look at photos of famous chefs’ dishes to surprise your guests. Using products that are always in your kitchen, you can create your own unique ensemble. Sprinkle the ice cream with confectionery crumbs. To do this, put the cookies in a plastic bag and knead. The shortbread makes a great platform for scoops of ice cream. Chocolate rolls have become a familiar touch to any ice cream dish. And candied citrus fruits are a real decoration for any dish.

Thus, ice cream at home can be tasty and attractive with the help of available products.

  1. Cream 35% fat.
  2. Sugar - 150-200 g.
  3. Vanilla sugar or vanillin.
  4. Chicken eggs - 5 pcs.

The cooking algorithm is simple. To begin, separate the whites from the yolks, beat the latter thoroughly with sugar and vanilla. The whites also need to be beaten well until high foam; with the cream, do the same procedure, but not at too high a speed. Add the entire mass of yolks to the container with cream, followed by fractional whites. Mix the total mass well to achieve homogeneity.

All that remains is to pour all the contents into the mold, which you should have cooled in advance and left in the freezer for 7 hours. Cooling drinks were a great success at the court of the Roman Emperor Nero (1st century AD).

It’s not enough to just make homemade natural ice cream, you also need to decorate it and serve it beautifully, especially if we are talking about any event: a birthday, a party, a romantic event, or, in the end, you just like to eat beautifully decorated dishes. We offer 5 original methods that help out in practice and in the future you will no longer have to rack your brains about how to beautifully serve ice cream at home and how to decorate it.

It is very beautiful and popular to serve ice cream balls in fruit “cups”. Orange, grapefruit, coconut and pineapple are best.

Citrus fruits must be washed, cut in half and the core removed (but not completely!). Use a special spoon to form ice cream balls and place them in a natural cup. If you don’t have such a spoon at home, you can simply scoop out the ice cream, making “peaks” using a tablespoon.

If you want to break a coconut into halves, go for it! This makes a very original bowl for serving ice cream.

Working with pineapple is similar to working with citrus fruits, only the “cup” will be many times larger.

Sprinkle ice cream with edible treats

And what - it’s up to you to decide! The choice is simply huge: candied fruits, nuts, coconut flakes, chocolate chips, M&M’s or Skittles balls, marshmallows, confectionery sprinkles, cookie crumbs, pour over condensed milk or , decorate with fruits and berries, etc. All this looks very beautiful on ice cream and is quickly eaten. You can use any one ingredient for the dressing, or several at once.

We decorate ice cream in the style of “a la parfait”

A parfait is a layered dessert made from ice cream and other ingredients. We have already published, now we will simply describe the principle of creating such a dessert. However, it looks very impressive. The dessert is created by laying out layers, for example: ice cream, berry jam, fresh pieces of berries and fruits, oatmeal, more ice cream, berry jam, fruits and berries, oatmeal and a top of ice cream. You can come up with whatever layers you want, guided by your taste.

Fry ice cream

Yes, yes, exactly fry or bake. It's amazingly tasty, beautiful, unusual and quite simple. We have already written about this, and now we simply remind you.
