“Jazz Seasons” took place for the first time in 2016 and brought together open air several thousand spectators! This is not surprising - outstanding jazz performers performed on stage - Randy Brecker, John Beasley, Leon "Foster" Thomas and best representatives Russian jazz scene - Oleg Butman, Sergei Dolzhenkov Quintet, Alina Rostotskaya, Yuliana Rogacheva and many others.

In 2017, ten groups from Russia, Great Britain and the USA performed at the festival: Oleg Akkuratov Trio, Vadim Eilenkrig and his group Eilenkrig Crew, Tony Momrelle, OREGON group and many others. In addition to connoisseurs of jazz music, the festival brought together lovers of painting, floristry, sports and those simply wanting to spend a pleasant weekend with family and friends. Spectators were able to see with their own eyes how paintings are created, participate in master classes, lectures and competitions.

Every year “Jazz Seasons” attracts several thousand spectators in the open air! This is not surprising - after all, according to tradition, outstanding jazz performers perform on stage!

The festival participants already included Randy Brekker, John Beasley, Leon “Foster” Thomas, Tony Momrelle, the Oregon group and the best representatives of the Russian jazz scene - Oleg Butman, Sergei Dolzhenkov Quintet, Alina Rostotskaya, Yuliana Rogacheva, Oleg Akkuratov Trio, Vadim Eilenkrig and his group Eilenkrig Crew, and many others.

The headliners of the fourth “Jazz Seasons” will be Ambrose Akinmusire (USA), Jonah Nilsson (OF DIRTY LOOPS / Sweden), Peter Vostokov’s Big Jazz Orchestra, VAN QUARTET (Armenia), as well as Igor Butman and the Moscow Jazz Orchestra. In addition, the Leonid & Friends Group, Elliott (vocals/USA) & Oleg Butman Quartet, Hayk Grigoryan Quintet, Number Pi Group, Ilya Morozov and Victoria Kaunova Sextet will present their work at the festival.

On July 7, the first day of the festival, the inimitable vocalist and pianist from Sweden Jonah Nilsson (Dirty Loops) will perform. A few years ago, Jonah did what millions of musicians dream of - he became world famous in just 1 night! As part of the Dirty Loops group, he performed several cover versions of hits, which brought the project millions of views on YouTube and worldwide fame. Today, among the fans of the musician’s work are Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine, singers Brian McKnight, Rodney Jerkins, Dallas Austin, and even Stevie Wonder and Quincy Jones! Also on July 7, the group “Leonid & friends”, singer Elliott (USA) and Oleg Butman Quartet, Hayk Grigoryan Quintet will perform on the main summer jazz stage of the Moscow region. On the same evening, festival guests will be transported to Golden era“jazz fever”, which the Big Jazz Orchestra of Peter Vostokov will recreate for them.

On July 8, the festival program will amaze even the most sophisticated listeners with a variety of styles! On the second day of the “Jazz Seasons” the ethno-jazz project Van Quartet (Armenia), the young, ambitious team “Number Pi”, the Sextet of Ilya Morozov and Victoria Kaunova, as well as the quartet of the Blue Note label resident, winner of two the main jazz competitions named after Thelonious Monk and Carmine Caruso, one of the most important musicians of our time, Ambrose Akinmusir (USA). The second day will end with a performance by the world famous Moscow Jazz Orchestra conducted by Igor Butman.

This year the festival brought together 10 groups from Russia, Armenia, Sweden and the USA, representing a wide variety of jazz styles - from classical to avant-garde. On the first day there was a performance by Swedish vocalist and pianist Jonah Nilsson. He gained popularity in just one night; as part of the group Dirty Loops, he performed several cover versions of hits that collected millions of views on YouTube. Also performing for the audience on Saturday were the group “Leonid & friends”, the US singer Elliott, the quartets of Hayk Grigoryan and Oleg Butman, as well as the Big Jazz Orchestra of Peter Vostokov, as listed in the material.

According to the press service, on the second day of the festival, the ethno-jazz project Van Quartet from Armenia, a young and ambitious team playing independent music, “Number Pi”, a sextet of Ilya Morozov and Victoria Kaunova, as well as a quartet from the Blue Note label took to the stage. Of particular interest was the performance of the winner of two major jazz competitions named after Thelonious Monk and Carmine Caruso, virtuoso trumpeter from the USA Ambrose Akinmusire. We cannot sell expensive tickets: people come here with families, friends, six or seven people each - it must be affordable.
