Andrey Belyaev singer. How Anton Belyaev became a star. Beginning of a producer's career

A few hours ago, Therr Maitz band leader Anton Belyaev and his wife Yulia became parents. Their first child, son Semyon, or Simon, was born. Anton himself announced the joyful event on his Instagram page, publishing the first photo of the baby right from the center of the events.

Semyon Antonich... maybe Simon)) Bec 3680 Height 53. Born 24 hours. Healthy. Mom is fine too. #myeyetwitches. I wrote him a lullaby and it turned into a charity project. You can listen, watch and transfer money to children who do not have parents using the link in the profile. I remind you that it doesn’t have to be a million)) Transfer 10 or 100 rubles... Tell those who can help. Remind everyone around you how easy it is to help. Kiss. Anton. Thank you,” the musician wrote.

Yulia Belyaeva with her son

The Undercover lullaby was first performed at a concert in November last year, but it was only in mid-January that Anton and Yulia shared the news that they were expecting a son. While working on the single, Anton decided that this music could help other children - those whom their parents abandoned. This is how the idea of a charity release arose, which will be carried out jointly with Sony Music Entertainment and the Bureau of Good Deeds foundation - all proceeds from the sale of the track will be donated to orphans in orphanages throughout the entire existence of the track.

The video for Undercover was directed by the director duo Timofey Kolesnikov and Sergei Minadze, who previously created the musical fashion action film My Love Is Like. The families of Therr Maitz musicians and friends of the band took part in the video, and the bulk of the material was filmed in the band's home studio.

A special page undercover.therrmaitz.com is dedicated to the charity release of Undercover, where you can purchase the single, find out more details about the project or help abandoned children by transferring money directly to the Bureau of Good Deeds fund.

Yulia Belyaeva spoke about her pregnancy in a recent interview with HELLO!:

For me, pregnancy was not a surprise. I was ready for it and knew that sooner or later everything would happen. Two weeks before conceiving a child, an interesting situation occurred: I never go to astrologers, but one day in the co-working space where I worked, I met a Vedic astrologer from Magadan. He offered to tell me about my life, drew a map, and when asked when my main feminine destiny would come true, he answered: “Next year you will give birth.” A month and a half later, I found out that I was pregnant.

Before Anton and Yulia found out that they would soon become parents, they were together for 7 years. But according to Anton, all this time he did not dream of a child, preferring to enjoy the present moment.

Social pressure was certainly present, but personally it didn’t bother me much. Both women and men over 30 are constantly asked questions about children. There comes a moment when all your comrades start pestering you: “Well, when?” But until Yulia became pregnant, I did not dream of a child. I did not set myself the goal of acquiring an heir at any cost. And in general, I had a cold attitude towards this topic. But as soon as it became known that we were expecting a child, I realized that I was ready. And society definitely had nothing to do with this realization. A child seriously changes your life and your opportunities. You can't push him to the background. For everything to develop organically, it is necessary for him to appear when you are ready to devote to him right time. Now we are ready, but two or three years ago I was not sure.

The leader of the band Therr Maitz Anton Belyaev became a father for the first time. His wife Julia gave the musician his first child. Representatives of the artist informed StarHit about this. The star of the show “The Voice” and his wife have already chosen a name for the child - they named him Semyon.

The boy was born yesterday, May 22. Now the mother and newborn baby are feeling well and are preparing to go home. Fans of the artist rush to congratulate him on such a significant event in his life.

Especially for the birth of his son, Belyaev presented a lullaby - the song Undercover.

“Semyon Antonich... maybe Simon. Bec - 3680 Height - 53. Born 24 hours. Healthy. Mom is fine too. I wrote him a lullaby and it turned into a charity project,” the artist admitted on the microblog.

Long before the birth, Yulia and Anton declassified the gender of the baby - they did not hide the fact that they were expecting a son. The artist’s wife had a premonition that she would become the mother of a boy. “We found out the gender – there will be a micro-Anton. By the way, I felt for a long time that I was expecting a boy. And for some reason our relatives also said: “We think you will have a son,” said Yulia.

The Belyaev couple understood that the birth of a baby would radically change their lives. The musician admitted that he would probably become more responsible and mature.

Despite the fact that the couple knew the sex of the baby, they could not agree in advance on the choice of name for the boy. Julia said that she wanted to name her son some extravagant name, and Anton was more inclined to “classic” options. The couple decided that it would be much better to decide after the birth of an heir. They assumed that the best decision would be made spontaneously.

“Meet our little seed: Semyon Antonovich Belyaev, aka Simon, aka Shimon. 24 hours of hardcore, and the baby is with us. Weight – 3680. Height – 53. We receive a lot of congratulations, I don’t have time to respond, but we see everything, thank you very much, this is a real waterfall of love!” - Julia thanked her fans for their congratulations.

While waiting for the child, Belyaev tried to surround his wife with maximum comfort and care. The couple thought for a long time about where it would be better for their child to be born. Some advised Julia to choose one of the maternity hospitals in Miami, as many famous mothers did. Friends also recommended clinics in Mexico, Spain or the Maldives. Despite many options, Yulia was more inclined to stay in Russia. The wife of the lead singer of the group Therr Maitz assumed that the weather would be wonderful in Moscow in the spring, and therefore wanted to stay in the capital.

Name: Anton Belyaev. Date of birth: September 18, 1979. Place of birth: Magadan (Russia).

Childhood and youth

Anton Vadimovich Belyaev was born on September 18, 1979 in Magadan. By that time, the Belyaev family already had a daughter, Lilia, 11 years older than her brother.

The future musician’s mother, Alfina Sergeevna, was a computer science teacher, and his father, Vadim Borisovich, worked in a computer center.

Anton Belyaev in childhood

Despite the fact that Anton grew up in a family of “techies,” he is already early age began to show interest in creativity.

At the age of five the boy was sent to music school for piano lessons. Belyaev wanted to play the drums more, but at that time he was not yet old enough to learn to play drums.

“They promised to send me to a drum class after piano. I’m still waiting, mom,” the musician joked in October 2017 on Instagram.

However, then, as a child, Anton was not upset for long, because he fell in love with the piano, began to participate in competitions and even won many of them. Belyaev had a special passion for the jazz genre.

Anton Belyaev in his youth

However, the boy was so consumed by his love of music that it affected his studies at school, and absences due to illness also played a role. After the eighth grade, Anton was expelled from a secondary educational institution.

Belyaev still managed to get a certificate at another Magadan school, after which he entered School of Music in piano class. However, Anton did not study there for long - he was expelled allegedly for being too interested in jazz.

Early life and Therr Maitz group

At the age of 17, Belyaev moved to Khabarovsk and became a student at the local Institute of Arts and Culture, and he chose the direction that he loved so much - the jazz department.

This time the young man was luckier than at school - Anton was awarded an increased scholarship for his achievements in music.

Belyaev graduated from university in 2002, after which he performed for some time in nightclubs in Magadan and Khabarovsk.

In one of these entertainment establishments in 2004, he received the position of art director. At the same time, the group Therr Maitz was born, where Belyaev was the frontman.

Two years later, Anton decided that he had grown out of scale Far East, and went to conquer the Moscow musical Olympus.

In the capital, Belyaev worked for some time as an arranger for recognized show business stars, in particular, Max Pokrovsky and Nikolai Baskov.

When Anton more or less found his feet in the metropolis, he revived the Therr Maitz group, albeit with a different line-up.

Now the team consists of soloist Victoria Zhuk, drummer Boris Ionov and guitarists Nikolai Sarabyanov and Artem Tildikov.

The band's repertoire mainly includes jazz compositions. Anton and his team are residents of the Jazz Parking project.

In 2013, Belyaev decided to make himself known throughout the country and chose the format of the popular music show “The Voice” for this.

The talented young man successfully passed the “blind auditions” stage, performing Chris Isaac’s song “Wicked Game”.

Belyaev sang so convincingly and soulfully that all the mentors turned to him, but he chose Leonid Agutin. The fact that both musicians love the same genre - the same jazz - also played a role in this.

However, Anton continued the competition, as it happened, in Pelageya’s team. The young man couldn’t win “The Voice,” but he reached the semifinals, and most importantly, the whole of Russia learned about him.

It is interesting that Belyaev often accompanied himself during his performances, and his mascot, a stuffed donkey, was always on the piano.

Anton began to be invited to film various television shows. So, in 2013, he hosted one of the editions of the “Red Star” hit parade, and in 2015 he became a music producer on the “Main Stage” show.

Belyaev was nominated for the GQ magazine “Man of the Year 2015” award among musicians, and the following year he was included in the top 100 most stylish men according to the same publication.

Anton Belyaev currently

In 2016 it was released Feature Film"Vote big country", where Belyaev acted as a composer and music producer. The main roles in the film were played by other “Voice” graduates.

The audience liked Anton’s work, but the young man was also noticed by professionals - Belyaev was invited to be one of the composers for the youth project “Ice”. Premiere of the film about figure skating, where the musician worked on the arrangements, will take place in February 2018.

As for your own musical creativity, then Anton not only performs with his group, but also records solo and duet compositions.

The Therr Maitz group is scheduled to tour the regions of Russia in the winter and spring of 2018, and the team will also give a big concert in Moscow.

Personal life

Anton is happily married, and met his wife, as the press writes, by accident. The musician saw in a cafe beautiful girl and fell in love with her at first sight. The young man sang for his chosen one and invited her to his concert.

Yulia Belyaeva with her son

The girl answered young man reciprocity, and in 2012 Yulia Markova and Anton got married. It is interesting that Belyaev’s wife is a journalist by training; she combines work on television with the position of manager of the Therr Maitz group.

Anton Belyaev with his son

In 2017, the musician’s family experienced happy event- he became a father. The couple had a son, who was named Semyon. Anton often talks about the baby on social networks and even publishes photographs and videos.

Musical talent famous performer Anton Belyaev, who feels equally good in any musical genres from trip-hall to electronics, appeared in early childhood. Noticing his attraction to creativity, his parents sent 5-year-old Anton to Magadan music school No. 1. His first aspiration was to learn to play the drums, but he was not old enough (he was taught to play the drums from the age of 9), so he settled on the piano class.

Talking about his childhood musical idols, Anton Belyaev says that he listened to a wide variety of music, from Stevie Wonder to electronic groups like United Six. At the same time, he “fell in love” with each of the “idols,” that is, he was completely immersed in their work. This probably helped him later create his own atmosphere of music - original, unique, catchy. However, the fascination with idols is a thing of the past, Anton admits today, noting that he is too cynical for that. According to Belyaev, he does not believe in miracles, and in order to create something interesting, you need to look everywhere and do your job well.

At an early age, the current leader Therr Maitz was a sickly child, but despite this, he participated and won many music competitions. As a teenager, Belyaev began visiting the jazz studio of Evgeniy Chernonogy, and a year later he was already performing with a popular band in the city. jazz band. Later, Anton took part in the recording of famous jazz standards together with the head of the studio, and also performs as part of a youth jazz orchestra.

After school, the musician entered the Magadan Music College to study piano, but he did not study there for long. Due to his excessive passion for jazz, Anton was expelled and he completed his studies at Magadan Gymnasium No. 30. His soulful playing of the piano helped him win the love of all the teachers at the gymnasium. Subsequently, Anton’s family changed their location and moved to Khabarovsk, where the boy entered the State Institute of Culture and Arts. During his studies, he managed not only to receive an increased scholarship, but also to perform at night venues.

After graduating from university, the musician at one time worked as the art director of the Rus nightclub. It was his technical base that allowed Belyaev to start writing music, which became the basis for the work of the future group Therr Maitz. However, the artist’s creative ambitions are seeking expression, so in 2006 he comes to Moscow. Anton later admits that he had a desire to move to the capital from the very beginning, because in the regions there is simply no suitable field of activity for a bright jazz player. According to Belyaev, in our country the history of the “center of the Universe” is very developed, and this is especially clearly expressed in relation to music.

The first years of his life in Moscow, the musician was engaged, in his own words, in producing pop melodies and producing performers whom he “couldn’t stand.” This activity allowed him to earn money and gradually penetrate the world of show business, but at a certain point it began to choke him. Due to the large amount of work, Belyaev even had a nervous breakdown, because he made up to 15 arrangements a month!

In 2011, the musician, together with a renewed creative team, launched the Therr Maitz project and began performing concerts. According to the musician, there was no turning point in the group’s popularity, the band was simply moving steadily in the chosen direction and everyone knew about its existence more people. At first, the team devoted a lot of effort to working together, understanding each other, and learning to participate as partners. About a year later, such contact was established, and now the musicians are putting more effort into honing the concert program.

Today Anton Belyaev is also known for his participation in the 2nd season of the popular TV show “The Voice”. In 2013, after performing the song Wicked Game in the qualifying round, he ended up in Leonid Agutin’s group. During his participation in the program, Anton gained invaluable experience and became widely known and popular in Russia. In addition, many know him as a resident of the Jazz Parking project. He believes that by giving preference to his music, people buy the atmosphere, so he enjoys communicating with his audience not only during concerts, but also before and after them

Krylatskoe, Igor Matvienko’s studio, Tuesday, six o’clock in the evening. A large rehearsal room, similar to a loft club: graphite brick, glossy floor, wooden podium with a white backdrop, on which is written large: “M.A.M.A.”

Therr Maitz, one of the most popular Russian bands of the last two years, real heroes of creative work, are rehearsing on the podium. These two years, musicians live at an accelerated pace. Yesterday they returned from touring Eastern Siberia, in two days they will have to close the multi-thousand festival “Estate Jazz” in Tsaritsyno. There are only two rehearsals, time is running out - Therr Maitz musicians run through the concert set list at high speed, without wasting time on unnecessary movements and words. “We need some space in the code here,” the man throws at dark glasses, a smart brown Maison Margiela shirt, designer sweatpants and soft loafers, sitting at a keyboard in the center of the podium. This is Anton Belyaev, the face, voice, musical brain and iron hand of the group - it is he who confidently controls the Therr Maitz car that has picked up speed.

Russia learned about a group with an unclear name and an English-language repertoire in 2013. After Anton Belyaev charmed the jury and viewers of the second season of the TV show “The Voice”, appearing in the original image of a hooligan pianist - with a hoarse timbre, playful and strong fingers, an athletic figure, short hair, cool glasses frames and a toy donkey mascot. By this time, Anton Belyaev was already well known and appreciated in Moscow show business - he was a sought-after producer who worked with famous artists, and his group Therr Maitz, which arose back in 2004 in Khabarovsk and reassembled in Moscow in 2010, confidently performed in the capital's clubs and at small festivals. Things were gradually improving, but a breakthrough was needed. Therefore, the energetic Belyaev took the risk of going on television - in the show “The Voice”, where he had long been invited by producers who lured interesting contestants. “I was very worried before the first shoot,” recalls Belyaev, sitting during a rehearsal break in the bar area of the studio, decorated with a balalaika and accordion, and hastily devouring toast with scrambled eggs. – Because even though I had inner confidence in what I was worth and recognition among professionals, I was at point zero. I needed some uncles and aunts to appreciate me. While sitting with his back to me. And if they had not turned around, then all my micro-merits in Moscow could have crumbled. People who respected what I do would say: “Well, you're screwed!”

Things were gradually improving, but a breakthrough was needed. Therefore, the energetic Belyaev took the risk of going on television - in the show “The Voice”.

They turned around without waiting for the second verse of Wicked Game - all four members of the “Voice” jury, from Dima Bilan to Alexander Gradsky, and the applicant was faced with the problem of choosing a mentor. Anton Belyaev, who played the piano from the age of five, was fond of jazz from the age of 13 and could not stand the Russian stage, went to Leonid Agutin, whom he respects as a musician who reformatted our pop music.

The effect of the appearance of the daring and charismatic leader Therr Maitz on “The Voice” was immediate. “The first broadcast ended at half past eleven at night. And at half past twelve they called me - and the next day we were already doing the first event thanks to “The Voice”. That's all! We've been doing this all the time since then!” – Anton laughs, massive silver rings glistening on his fingers. The orders showered on the group forced the musicians to choose: stick to their songs, which are unusual for mass listeners, or adapt to what is considered to be popular taste. Belyaev decided to take a risk again: “The first fear that was fed by everyone around me: your music is cool, but no one needs it. Stop singing in English. Make songs for Russian Radio and don’t get kicked out.”

The phenomenon of Anton Belyaev is that he is perhaps the first Russian star after Zemfira, who was ignited by our television, while his pro-Western music grew out of jazz, funk and electronics of the 1990s. We call this kind of music “non-format”. Perhaps, like Leonid Agutin, Belyaev will be able to change the current state of affairs. “All that changed for us after “The Voice” was the number of people coming in,” says Belyaev, whose group now charges up to two million rubles for performances at closed events. “Now we don’t have to explain anything to anyone.” Now they are calling us. We work the same as before, and the people are the same. Only our resources have expanded, and we can now do things that interest us on a larger scale.”

After a couple of broadcasts on “First”, Therr Maitz, who had not betrayed themselves, were already giving about forty concerts a month (“there was greed”), and Belyaev also had to star in “The Voice”. It was a race for survival, so leader Therr Maitz was even glad that he left the show in the semi-finals. “All this, damn it, is not funny,” Anton smiles in response to a request to tell an anecdote from the tour. – It’s when you don’t go anywhere that you think that tours are fun. And this is just work from which there is no escape. It became boring on tour: you can’t throw the TV out the window - there’s no time for rocker antics. And you can’t swear on Instagram anymore, because children read.”

After a couple of broadcasts on “First,” Therr Maitz was already giving about forty concerts a month, and Belyaev also had to star in “The Voice.”

Belyaev knows how to swear - this is reflected in his adolescence spent in harsh Magadan. Although Anton shone with his abilities at piano competitions, he was not able to completely shield himself from his dysfunctional environment. However, his clear charm as a bully, which captivates many girls, is not borrowed - in Magadan, a gifted guy almost ran away from the instrument into the street. “From the age of 12 to 17, I had a weird period where I thought I might be a gang leader or something. I had ambitions, I wanted to achieve something as quickly as possible. Then it seemed that in a simple way– according to the hooligan – they are implemented faster. Of course, going to the park with the boys, shaking random passers-by and selling cannabis is easier than playing the piano. Mom pulled me out of various troubles. And then at the age of 17 she was sent to Khabarovsk. I had to live on my own. I had to work - I had to survive. Work distracted me. The brain switched."

Work is all that the life of the leader of the highly professional gang Therr Maitz consists of today. Family life It is also difficult to separate from the professional one - his wife Julia is also the director of Therr Maitz. Anton Belyaev no longer allows forty concerts a month, but the group’s schedule is scheduled months in advance. Therr Maitz is planning his first concert in London this fall. They will start with a small club of five hundred people, but then they want to expand their presence abroad and have already hired an English company for promotion. At the same time, they are going to record new songs, which will be released as singles and then compiled into a new Therr Maitz album. What will it be like? “Whatever. For example, only cello and piano,” Anton Belyaev smiles mischievously. – If this happens, we will not make excuses. I've worried so much my whole life about what I do and how others will perceive it that now I don't care at all. I realized that I would never think about it again.”
