Buryat State University. Russian universities. Latest reviews from BSU

When choosing an educational institution, it is important to choose one that provides the necessary conditions for obtaining a quality education and comprehensive personal development. Buryatsky (Ulan-Ude) responds to similar recommendations. It offers a lot of opportunities for people who decide to connect their lives with a university.

Past of BSU

The current university in Ulan-Ude was created in 1932. It was organized on the basis of the Buryat-Mongolian branch of the Irkutsk Pedagogical University. To organize the educational process, the necessary personnel were sent to the new educational institution. At the time of its creation, 4 faculties were opened, related to physics and mathematics, literature and linguistics, natural science, social and economic sciences.

The war that began in 1941 hit the university. Its development was stopped, the teaching staff was disbanded. After the end of the war, the pedagogical institute began to gradually recover. Existing faculties were changed and new ones were opened, the material and technical base was strengthened, and the educational and production areas of the university were increased. In 1995, an important change occurred, which the leadership of the educational institution sought to achieve - the pedagogical institute received the status of a classical university.

Latest reviews from BSU

Denis Loginov 12:42 06/12/2013

In 2012 he graduated from the Faculty of Sociology of BSU. The first two courses were simply excellent - a rich life within the university walls, an excellent entertainment program. Already in the first year we went to a summer camp from the university, in the second year we volunteered at sea. But the 3rd and 4th years were difficult, coursework and internships began, the latter in the specialty “sociology” are traditionally very difficult to pass. Those who studied will understand what I mean.

I applied for a paid program, but even among paid students there was a competition, although...

Inna Shozhoeva 12:45 05/24/2013

Like most school graduates in our republic, I entered the Buryat State University. This is one of the most popular universities in the republic, where about 10 thousand students study. As in any university, there are prestigious specialties, where competition for one budget place ranges from 5 to 10 people. These include the Faculty of Law, Economics and Oriental Studies, and the Faculty of Foreign Languages. Less popular are the faculties of chemistry and pedagogy, the faculty of...

Buryat State University- one of the oldest universities in Siberia, formed in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of September 30, 1995 and the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of November 2, 1995. On the basis of the Buryat State Pedagogical Institute named after Dorzhi Banzarov (founded in 1932) and a branch of the Novosibirsk State University in Ulan-Ude.

Currently, BSU is a system-forming educational institution, as it trains personnel for all bodies of education, science, management, economics, healthcare, social sphere, etc.

One of the fundamental principles of BSU is the implementation of a system of continuous training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel: from schools, colleges to university, graduate school, doctoral studies.

Today the university includes 12 faculties and 3 institutes. The BSU also includes branches and the BSU College. The structural divisions of the university are the Center for Vocational Guidance and the Admissions Committee, the Institute of Continuing Education, the Center for Eurasian Cooperation, the Center for Strategic Oriental Studies, the Center for Legal Support of Interaction between the Russian Federation and Asia-Pacific Countries, etc.

Buryat State University has the largest scientific potential in the Baikal region. It carries out almost all types of fundamental research - from philosophy to plasma physics. Many departments conduct applied and innovative research. The university has developed world-class leading scientific schools in the fields of condensed matter physics, botany, ornithology, history, Mongolian studies, sociology, philosophy, literature, linguistics, and pedagogy.

BSU actively cooperates with leading Russian universities, institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian Academy of Education and a number of international organizations dealing with problems of education, science, culture and technology. This is primarily due to the fact that the university has preserved the best traditions accumulated in its predecessor universities. An important factor in the development of the university was the constant search for non-standard solutions to improve the material base, attract highly qualified personnel and overcome the numerous crisis situations that have arisen in recent years.

Over its history, BSU has trained more than 40,000 highly qualified specialists. Among its graduates are academicians, ministers, world-famous scientists and cultural figures, enterprise managers and workers from various industries in Siberia and the Far East.

Currently, more than 10,000 students are studying at BSU in 47 specialties of higher vocational education and 6 specialties of secondary vocational education, 28 bachelor's degrees, 13 master's degrees.
