Let's draw a cherry branch with flowers. How to draw a cherry with a pencil step by step Draw a branch of cherry blossoms step by step

Let's talk not about sweet fruits and candies, but about sour berries, which, however, do not become less tasty. And we will learn how to draw a cherry. For a long time, no one noticed them or even used them for food, until the Romans came to the city of Kerasunda, which is in Turkey. There they found trees with small fruits. The order was not long in coming - the soldiers collected a lot of fruits and took them to Italy, where they already distributed them en masse.

Nowadays, cherries are widely used in Ukrainian and German cuisine. My favorite Ukrainian dish is dumplings with cherries. Although its taste is sour, it is often used to make sweet jam and compotes.

Unusual facts:

  • Sweet cherry is not a separate berry, but a variety of cherry. It is also called bird cherry, due to the predilection of birds for eating them. This is not surprising, because cherries are sweet. I like to bite myself.
  • Both the berries and leaves of this tree contain natural antibiotics. In ancient times, our ancestors used this property: they ground fruits and leaves and applied them to wounded places.
  • Cherry pits are not only inedible, but also very dangerous. The substance in them, when it enters the stomach, releases hydrocyanic acid. Of course, a few bones won't put you in the grave, but it's not worth the risk.

Now we will slowly move on to drawing.

How to draw a cherry with a pencil step by step

Step one. We draw some kind of amorphous body, similar to liquid or a microbe, and on top there is also a figure of an incomprehensible shape.
Step two. We turn the microbe into several smooth and beautiful circles, and from them we draw lines upward to the second object.
Step three. We make sure that the circles look natural and do not overlap each other. We make their shape more even and round.
Step four. We make the branches larger and more noticeable, and draw several leaves in the background.
Step five. We add life to our berries - we make it look like a real, juicy cherry, adding shadows with shading.

Spring is coming faster and faster. The apple tree has just blossomed, and the cherry tree has already gained color.

So let's draw a branch of a blossoming cherry tree.

But here I’ll immediately clarify - in Glazov, cherries often grow not only in gardens, but also simply in front gardens and courtyards, but this is not a tree at all. Usually our cherry tree is a small bush with thin twig-like branches. Now that it has bloomed, small leaves have already appeared on the branches. In general, it looks nothing like sakura - a soft green bush with small, inconspicuous, loose umbrellas of white flowers at the ends of long, often bare branches. Well, I chose a thicker twig.

Step by step drawing lesson - cherry branch

First, draw a schematic sketch with a pencil.

We distribute the leaves - they have not yet completely unfolded and look like a slightly open book. The leaves are oval, pointed, with a glossy shine. The upper side is bright green, the lower side is more matte. The edge of the leaf is finely toothed. But please, when you draw, draw truthfully. How many times have I noticed that students “cling” to the details: if the leaf is jagged, then they get carried away and, without looking at the leaf itself, draw a deep zigzag, almost a saw. Well, you and I are learning to see everything in comparison and relate the parts and the general. Flowers on long light green peduncles are located at the end of the branch - they are small, with five white rounded petals (as is often the case with Rosaceae). However, the most beautiful thing about the flowers is the transparent white, numerous, fluffy, straightened stamens with small yellow-brown anthers. Under all these descriptions, I have already reached the graphic drawing - a cherry branch.

Comrades, here I again call you to your attention and awareness: yes, the leaves are green, but they are green in different ways. Somewhere transparent yellowish, somewhere rich emerald. You have to see this and try to notice it. Do not paint the greenery monolithically in one color! No one asks you to color the foliage with all the colors of the rainbow, but the play of colors that exists deserves a true reflection.
