Yoga retreats. Yoga retreat "Hatha Yoga. The Art of Relaxation." Retreat in Russia

How can truth be understood beyond words?
If you chat and reason
without your own experience?

In this article we will talk about the topic of retreat.

Let's look at the following topics:

  • What is a retreat?
  • three types of suffering (suffering of pain, suffering of change, all-pervasive suffering);
  • meaning of the word retreat;
  • reasons for going on retreat;
  • what difficulties may arise during the retreat;
  • basic tips on behavior during a retreat;
  • results and effects upon completion of the retreat.

The state of happiness, joy, balance and fulfillment cannot manifest itself while the mind is dominated by attachment or the desire to achieve some material benefits. No matter how much you follow the desires that cling to this life, thoughts about material things or pleasures, there will be no end to it. Desires will arise again and again. Working on desires is endless. You have to deal with constant anxiety, depression and many other problems.

The material pleasures of the world of people and gods (another name for “samsaric” pleasures) are, by their nature, suffering. The human mind is deluded into thinking that they are pleasures and real happiness.

Moreover, without being aware of all the varieties of our own suffering, we will not be able to understand the suffering of other sentient beings and accordingly develop true compassion. In order to understand the suffering of others, you must first understand your own.

In our world suffering is divided into 3 types: the suffering of pain (sometimes called the suffering of suffering), the suffering of change and all-pervasive suffering.

Suffering pain (suffering) are all physical and mental experiences considered unpleasant, including those associated with old age, illness and death. This includes the suffering of birth, aging, illness and death; suffering caused by separation from loved ones, meeting with unloved ones; suffering arising from the inability to achieve what is desired and the need to protect what has been accumulated or achieved.

The suffering of change- the second form of suffering, more subtle. It can only be understood with the help of correct analytical thinking. The suffering of change is usually called those fleeting pleasures that we happen to experience.

For example, if today we experience less pain than yesterday, we say that we feel good, but this does not mean that the pain has gone away completely, just that its intensity has decreased.

If we sit for too long, we will feel pain and fatigue. Having stood up after sitting for a long time, we feel an improvement in our condition (which we can call pleasure, especially if we have been sitting for several hours), but after a while we feel tired from being in a standing position. And here it is important to try to understand a very important detail that gives an understanding of this type of suffering: we say we feel better when our pain is reduced, but in reality we call "pleasure" what is actually pain.

As soon as we stand up, standing begins to accumulate in us the discomfort of standing. Although standing discomfort appears as soon as we stand up, at first it is so mild that we simply do not notice it. However, as we continue to stand, it becomes stronger and more obvious. After some time, when the discomfort from standing becomes intense enough, we notice it. At that moment it becomes the suffering of pain.

People often enjoy change, perceiving such life situations as interesting and dynamic. But from the moment a person tries to retain pleasant impressions, his suffering is programmed. Nothing can last forever. Therefore, the Buddha's teaching draws attention to how painful it can be to expect lasting happiness from changeable, transitory things.

All-pervasive suffering - this is our samsara - the connection of our body and mind, under the control of karma and disturbing thoughts, and the mind defiled or poisoned by the seeds of these darkened states. Because the seeds of disturbing thoughts continue to poison our stream of consciousness, whenever we encounter an attractive, disgusting or neutral object, disturbing delusional thoughts are born in our mind and lay the foundation for the appearance of the next conditioned body. If we remove the seeds of delusion from our stream of consciousness, disturbing thoughts will cease to arise in our minds, and in their absence, nothing will motivate us to commit negative actions. By stopping the negative actions of body, speech and mind, we will stop placing imprints in our own consciousness that create our future samsara.

Thinking about suffering, and even more so (one of the main teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni), gives rise to confidence that it is possible to cope with all this and helps to establish yourself on your chosen path.

Everyday life is full of distractions, prejudices and illusions. Retreat is a departure from harmful thoughts by leaving attachments.

Why does a person decide to go into seclusion, leave other people, decide to be alone - to go on a retreat? Maybe the reason is that all this is connected with the desire to calm down a little or take a break from everyday life, environment, family litigation?

First of all, this is a desire or even a need for the development of basic human qualities: love and compassion. Next is the opportunity to develop in practice the teachings that a person receives from a mentor. Equally important is the ability to isolate yourself from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is in retreat that we have the opportunity to be without distractions, and only then are we forced to face ourselves, to look inside ourselves.

Retreat helps to take our consciousness away from illusion and towards reality. Discover our natural inner state, our nature. Only by realizing the illusions that occupy our minds and learning to distinguish true from false can we change our lives for the better.

Retreat is important because it takes us away from ignorance, an unsatisfied mind full of attachments and from selfish thoughts, and these are the most important forces from whose power we must free ourselves.

Freeing yourself from them is the true meaning of meditation. Transforming the mind into a source of virtue, freeing oneself from suffering and its causes - this is the essential meaning of Dharma practice.

As long as we believe that the causes of happiness and suffering lie outside ourselves, problems and dissatisfaction will always be present. But the experience of our lives - as well as the omniscient mind - tells us that the source of happiness lies in our own mind. Therefore, retreat and meditation practice are a universal solution to any of our problems.

Retreat is a departure from the non-virtuous, from the cause of suffering. From English "retreat" translates as “withdrawal, retreat, refusal, solitude, removal.”

In Tibet, the word “tsam” is used to denote the concept of retreat and seclusion; it is translated as “drawing a boundary.”

When deciding to go on retreat or go on retreat, we spend a certain boundary at the external and internal levels. The external aspect means that no one is allowed to cross the territorial border and invade the retreat site. This is especially true for social people or those who are far from the practices of self-knowledge and have no interest in them. Anyone who is in seclusion also cannot leave the retreat area. Depending on the severity of the retreat, meetings with the Teacher or like-minded people are possible to clarify any questions or ambiguities in the area of practice.

The boundary at the internal level means the complete cessation of all worldly activities of the body, speech and mind, that is, everyday affairs, everyday conversations and worldly thoughts. Shakyamuni Buddha spent six years in retreat in the Bodhgaya area (in a cave now called Mahakala Cave by locals and pilgrims).

Our practice, both meditative and everyday, suffers from various distractions. Even if you have certain achievements in practice, you need to spend a lot of time in retreat in order to achieve stability in these realizations.

The meaning of retreat is to eliminate distractions and gain the opportunity to completely devote one's body, speech and mind to achieving a certain realization or goal that the practitioner sets for himself at the beginning of the retreat.

Conversations are the main form of information exchange in this world. By stopping talking, you eliminate a major source of distraction. This is why the practice of silence is used both individually and collectively.

There is no eternal happiness in samsara. You will be out of suffering only when you achieve stability in awareness and gain the experience of understanding that clinging thoughts produce samsara. If you actually have this experience, you will clearly see the meaninglessness of all samsara.

People spend their entire lives alternating between liking pleasant things and rejecting unpleasant ones, appropriating and avoiding something, living in hopes and fears. Observe yourself, listen to the conversations of your friends: what topics are most discussed? What cares and worries people? Often these are the same questions about uncertainty, dissatisfaction, unpredictability, injustice of some external or internal circumstances. People are constantly waiting for something that will change their life for the better. And then they can be calm and happy.

There is an interesting yogic saying:

“Take a realistic look at the present; by seeing it, you will be completely liberated.”

It is important to make an effort to make your mind clear by letting go of desires. If you do not pay due attention to this during a retreat, an imbalance of the internal wind element in a person occurs (in Tibet this is called “lung”). Tension, tightness, and pain arise in the chest. The struggle begins: you are not getting what your attachment desires, your body is in retreat, isolated, as if in prison. It becomes very difficult for you to practice, you cannot recite the required number of mantras and you lose the ability to meditate. You feel angry towards those around you, such as those who disturb your concentration by talking or making noise. It is important to realize in time that the root of the problem is that you have not cleared your mind of harmful thoughts.

If your retreat involves reading literature, good. Reading such texts develops devotion and promotes depth of practice.

It is important to be honest with yourself, check your motivation, intentions and actions. If you only talk about the Dharma and teachings, thinking about some benefits in this or future lives, it will be of little effect. Dharma must first be practiced by yourself.

During intensive practices and especially retreats, accumulated negative karma is activated by the power of deep instructions. That's why There may be obstacles in practice. For example:

  • in the place of your practice, various samsaric deities can manifest
  • they can give you prophecies
  • various terrifying visions will occur in your dreams and experiences
  • you may be attacked or robbed by other people
  • you might get sick
  • in your mind you may grieve for no particular reason and also become depressed to the point of tears
  • you will be overcome by violent emotions
  • your devotion and compassion will decrease
  • your thoughts will rebel you, driving you crazy
  • you will misunderstand useful advice
  • you will get tired of being in retreat and want to break your vow
  • you will have erroneous thoughts about the Teacher
  • you will be plagued by doubts about the Dharma
  • you may be slandered
  • your friends can turn into your enemies

You need to be prepared to perceive these obstacles as a certain test. This is the point where you either win or lose. If you deal with these obstacles, they will turn into your achievements. If you fall under their influence, they will become an insurmountable obstacle to progress in your practice.

There is an opinion that it is much easier to pass tests under unfavorable circumstances. It is much more difficult to pass the test under pleasant conditions. There is a danger here that a person can imagine himself as a great, highly realized practitioner and get carried away by various passions. It is important to understand that this line separates the up and down movements. And develop modesty and devotion, watch your mind.

To cope with difficulties that arise both during retreat and in regular practice in everyday life, it is important to learn not to fight them, but to use them as a path and as favorable conditions for the practice of virtue. In the evenings, before going to bed, it is advisable to perform short sessions of analytical meditations, in which you review your entire day and examine your motivation during the day. To practice repentance for those actions that were not in accordance with the Dharma is to sincerely admit one's mistakes and generate deep regret. If you have performed many good deeds during the day, it is important to create the determination to do the same tomorrow. It is imperative to dedicate merit at the end of the day and all practices.

The main enemy is attachment to your Self. If you do not get rid of him, he will create much more suffering and trouble than all other enemies. Under the influence of this egoistic delusion and obsession with one's emotions, one constantly commits unvirtuous acts.

You constantly have thoughts about food, pleasure, fame and spiritual achievements even during practice, don't you? It is important to realize that these and similar thoughts keep us in samsara. It is not permissible to follow their lead.

Once you realize how intolerable samsara is, the chaotic thoughts caused by attachment will become less of a distraction. The worry in the mind will decrease. The more you renounce the delusions and suffering nature of samsara, the more content and peaceful the mind will become.

Overcome obscurations every day. Every time you conquer your obscurations, even if it doesn’t happen as often as you would like, you become the greatest winner.

As Buddhist wisdom says:

"Conquer yourself
And you will win a thousand battles."

There is no benefit in being only a Dharma scholar.

The most important thing is complete disillusionment with samsara, the development of an altruistic mind striving for Awakening and a perfect view. You should gain understanding by listening to the mentor. Then reflect on the essence of what you heard and meditate. Meditation is a means of transforming your mind according to what you have heard.

As Buddhist Teachers say: It is not enough to know the Dharma - you must confirm the theory with practice.

With deep devotion to the Gurus, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! For the benefit of all living beings!

“Retreat”, translated from English, means distance from the outside world, immersion into oneself. A yoga retreat is an excellent opportunity to retire, clear your mind, get rid of negative emotions, the obsessive influence of others and other restrictions. A person finds time for everything that is important to him - for family, friends, recreation, education, work. However, there is not enough time and energy for yourself.

What is a retreat?

By practicing retreat, you can restore lost vitality, promote proper movement and expenditure of internal energy, and be closer to nature.

The retreat involves personal improvement - a person will begin to understand himself better, understand desires and true needs, and will be able to establish an inextricable connection with nature and the Universe, a piece of which is inside everyone.

A person who has gone through an individual or group retreat is significantly different from people who practice yoga every day. The retreat helps you gain a unique and unforgettable experience.

With complete solitude with oneself, a person’s soul becomes mature, and the connection with the body and consciousness becomes stronger.

As noted, the retreat can be for one person or a group. For group lessons, more than three people are required. Individual classes are supervised by a specialist, but the person does not feel his presence, being in complete solitude.

A person in retreat learns to set clear goals for himself that need to be achieved during the practice. Most often, such a goal is to develop and know oneself. If you manage to immerse yourself in practice, you can understand your personal contradictions and quickly get rid of them.

For a person whose work involves constant communications, this is the best option to relieve yourself of accumulated stress. A retreat helps you identify your true purpose and look at what is happening around you with a completely different perspective.

Taking into account the psychological state of the person who has decided to go on a retreat, the teacher prepares an individual training course. After which the student, under the supervision of a specialist, begins to follow the program. For classes you will need a separate room where no one can enter and where there will be no distractions.

Retreats vary in duration. They may take 1 day, 1 month, 3 months or a couple of years. They are also divided into dark and light. To conduct dark events, you need to ensure there is a dark, isolated room or even a cave. The mentor, taking into account the preparedness of your consciousness, will determine which retreat is best to conduct.

If you want to fully master the spiritual world, you should step away from the outside world at least 2 times a month, or better yet every week, and immerse yourself in yourself.

How do you prepare for a retreat?

When taking a retreat, you need to start with a mood and defining for yourself the exact purpose of its implementation. Every person has at least once come across the idea that his life is going somehow wrong: either too fast or too slow. Perhaps the person has not yet realized the meaning of life and his purpose. A retreat will help clarify these points. To ensure that your classes are successful, you should follow these guidelines:

  • try to consciously understand that there will be no Internet or phone nearby (this is very difficult for people who spend most of their time at the computer or holding a phone in their hands);
  • take care of everyday issues - pay bills, find a person who can take care of the house, finish work matters;
  • rebuild your diet, eliminate heavy foods so that the human body does not experience severe stress;
  • Prepare loose and light clothing and a notepad for notes.

The retreat also has certain rules that depend on its type. If we are talking about a silence retreat, then you need to be in complete silence. It can be done alone or with a group. It takes more than two days. For those practicing this type of retreat in groups, the following rules exist:

  • all communication means are confiscated;
  • a group of practitioners should not communicate with each other, but at the same time respect all its members;
  • you can’t make noise (it’s better to put food in bags that don’t rustle);
  • do not forget to maintain the cleanliness of the room or area where the retreat is held;
  • You can only eat light food once a day.

If a silent retreat is carried out alone, then it is both easy and difficult for a person at the same time. You need to properly prepare for classes:

  • determine a clear purpose for your solitude, a list of questions that need answers;
  • completely isolate yourself from the outside world;
  • do not react to extraneous sounds;
  • keep a notebook for personal observations.

Characteristics of the practice

Yoga retreat has found its active use in tourism. Most of the time at the retreat is spent learning various asanas and learning proper meditation. The most powerful practice aimed at immersing oneself and understanding the surroundings is Vipassana. During its implementation, special attention is paid to proper breathing, feeling your body and mind.

To conduct Vipassana, complete silence must be observed. Yoga helps to abandon old views, boring thoughts and stereotypes. This is achieved by influencing strong neural circuits. During the retreat, new neural connections are formed.

Conducting a retreat differs significantly in each practice school. Some conduct it for each person individually, others gather small groups. There are many retreat centers, to which you can add monasteries.

Whatever the retreat is, it has clear rules that must be followed. The retreat has its own schedule, which specifies its beginning and end, alternating meditation practices. The retreat requires full responsibility, which is assumed by all group members. During the retreat, participants should practice vegetarian nutrition so that the body does not spend a lot of time digesting food. Do not forget that the event is completely supervised by an experienced teacher.

There are several corners of the globe that are ideal places for a retreat:

  1. India is the origin of yoga. Here, several dozen mentors practice retreat. For those who, in addition to a beach holiday, want to engage in personal improvement, it is worth visiting the beaches of Goa and Kola. Here, every person can be so alone with nature as he could not even imagine. In these places, there are special equipped houses located right on the beach and in which vegetarian dishes will be served every day. One of the most famous and experienced practitioners, Mahendra Pardeshi, will help each group member concentrate on their inner world, feel relaxation and calm, and feel how the whole body is filled with strength and health.
  2. Ali, also called the Island of the Gods. It is quite a bit inferior to India in terms of available yoga practices. There are all favorable conditions for a retreat here. Deserted mountains and caves guarantee compliance with the basic rule of retreat - silence and tranquility.
  3. Sri Lanka is an ideal place to practice retreat. Here, every year, from July to August and from November to March, groups are recruited for retreats. At other times, a measured life takes place here, typical of villages where people raise rice and livestock. The best retreat practitioners with the most effective programs gather here. Those wishing to go on a retreat will forever remember the unusual setting: houses without walls are surrounded by vegetation in which wild animals are hidden, most of which are wild monkeys. Everything here helps a person to be alone.

Dark Retreat

Also referred to as black retreat, which originates from ancient Buddhism. You need to meditate in complete silence and darkness. People must be mentally stable and emotionally well prepared. Tibetan teachers have been doing retreats with groups in caves for several years.

It will be physically and spiritually difficult for a person who is just beginning to experience retreat to cope with such a technique, even after spending several days on it. Since there are no external stimuli in the caves, a person completely focuses on the inner world, fears and experiences come out in a vivid form, which can lead to the deprivation of a clear mind. During such a retreat, a person can discover psychic skills.

Retreat for the fairer sex

Meditative women's retreat programs combine elements of yoga, dance and women's conversations on the topic of how a woman should express herself with a man, with people around her, children and in work. Women learn the mysterious Mandala dance. During the process of meditation, a woman experiences the following changes:

  • she is capable of creating;
  • sets himself up for the correct behavior and attitude towards a man;
  • explores the possibilities of replenishing earthly energy;
  • comes into contact with the earthly elements, develops femininity and sexuality.

Family retreat

As a rule, such programs are aimed at working out the climate within a married couple who want to maintain or strengthen relationships, learn to trust and understand each other. The retreat for couples has two directions:

  1. Meditative and spiritual, which introduces life in marriage.
  2. Tantric, aimed at realizing a man and a woman as a single whole.

This retreat has the following goals:

  • awakening strong feelings and passion in partners;
  • awareness of the partner’s soul, acceptance of him as he is;
  • personification of the couple as a divine plan.

Benefits of a retreat

Retreat programs help achieve several goals:

  • cleanse your inner world of accumulated tension, stress and anxiety;
  • get rid of negative thoughts and desires;
  • look at the world around you with a different perspective;
  • identify personal problems and fears and get rid of them.

People who decide to go on a retreat note clarity of thought, the ability to clearly set goals and achieve them, and most importantly, they realized their purpose.

Yoga tourism is becoming an increasingly popular way of relaxation and wellness. Specialized centers invite you to go on vacation, where you will curl up in asanas for five hours a day, eat rice and beans, and chant mantras in the evenings while admiring the sea or mountain peaks.

Every year thousands of yoga tourists go to India, France, Costa Rica, Bali and other countries for physical improvement and peace of mind. They are convinced that participation in yoga retreats helps to survive in the urban jungle, achieve success in business and reduce psychological stress.

We'll leave walking on coals and lying on nails for the movies. Classical yoga is based on physical exercises that are combined with breathing practices and meditation. But there are many types of yoga, as well as teaching methods, so before your trip you should find out what exactly a given center or school offers. There are schools and centers that accept only experienced practitioners, but most are also open to those lucky ones who have not yet heard of either trikonasana or savasana.

The leader in receiving yoga tourists is India. There are hundreds of yoga centers and ashrams here, including those created specifically for foreigners. Relatively speaking, an ashram is something like a sanatorium or a pioneer camp, most with a fairly strict daily routine. Getting up at dawn, then meditation and asanas. Absenteeism and violations of the routine are not welcome, drinking and smoking are prohibited, and they are fed in accordance with the canons of Ayurveda, the ancient science of healthy life: rice, dal bean soup, some stewed vegetables and yogurt - that’s a complete lunch for you.

However, one should not think that everything human is alien to yoga adherents. Not at all! The yoga industry adapts perfectly to the needs and desires of modern people. And as a base for accommodation, adherents of this ancient practice can now choose both respectable hotels and comfortable yoga farms. And in recent years, it has become fashionable to combine the practice of yoga with surfing, kitesurfing, freediving (breath-hold diving without scuba gear), etc. We present you a list of the best places for yoga retreats.

Omkarananda GangaSadan, India, Rishikesh

Classes in this ashram on the banks of the Ganges are held according to the Iyengar system, which involves a long stay in each asana. The method is considered safe and has no contraindications. However, only those who have been practicing yoga for at least a year are accepted into the ashram. There are seven and ten day courses. The windows of many rooms, quite comfortable by Indian standards, look out onto the Ganges. In the store at the ashram you can buy mats, T-shirts, etc., as well as books on yoga and souvenirs. In the evenings, a beautiful ritual “Ganga aarti” takes place here - a ceremony of worshiping Mother Ganga. A week at Omkarananda GangaSadan costs $150, including room, board and activities. If there is no craving for asceticism, you can stay in one of the 4-star hotels (Hotel The Amaris, Ganga Kinare - A Riverside Boutique Hotel, EllBee Ganga View, Anandam Resort), a room will cost from 60 to 120 dollars per day, and for classes to go to the ashram.

In March, an international yoga festival takes place in Rishikesh. Rishikesh itself is nothing special, but the surrounding Himalayas are very beautiful.

About the tour

We invite you from June 8 to June 16 to take part in the fifth annual seminar “Transformation”, which will be held in.

In addition to this, everyone can expect:

— Boat trip.

On a comfortable boat we will go to the “lost world”. The place, popularly called the “Lost World”, is the most inaccessible corner of the entire Crimean coast. The local beach on the land side is reliably protected by steep cliffs 500 meters high. Relict trees grow among the bare stones. Along the way, we will find the picturesque rocky shores of the Southern Crimea, pods of dolphins and swimming in the open sea.

— Visit to the place of power of the “Grand Canyon”.

The Great Crimean Canyon is a natural phenomenon formed as a result of a tectonic fault in the Crimean Mountains. The height of the rocks hanging over the canyon reaches 320 meters. Our route takes place in the forest along the fast mountain river Auzun-Uzen. In these places there are badgers, hedgehogs, weasels, robins, jays, and small lizards. Along the way there are many natural bowls filled with water, some of which you can swim in. One of the largest forms a lake called Blue. At the top we will relax and have lunch on the grass overlooking the canyon and the endless sky.

— Collection of Crimean medicinal herbs.

In the first half of the day we will go deep into the peninsula for fragrant herbs. It is there, far from roads and civilization, that we will be able to collect a real aromatic tea mixture for ourselves, and after that we will stop on the shore of a clean lake, where we will sunbathe and swim.

Japa - translated as repetition. Since ancient times, this has been a technique of monks and hermits seeking solitude for their prayers. Yogi Bhajan taught that japa is the practice that will be accessible and most effective for everyone in the Age of Aquarius. We will repeat the mool mantra 3200 times - these are the first words of Guru Nanak that he spoke after his realization. This is the highest of mantras and contains the root of sound which is the basis of all effective mantras. With its vibrations it brings purification and...

About the location of the yoga tour

The yoga tour will take place on the southwestern coast of Crimea, 15 kilometers from the center of Sevastopol on Cape Fiolent.
The cape is composed of rocks of volcanic origin. An ancient volcano was active here 150 million years ago; lava flows and tuff layers are visible on both sides of the cape in the coastal cliff. There is a clear sea with clear blue water and uncrowded beaches.

Our seminar will be held for the fourth year in the “Shine” retreat house, the territory of which is completely rented for our group. All rooms are designed in the original style. The house has cold and hot water 24 hours a day, the bathrooms are equipped with the necessary hygiene products, the rooms are wet cleaned every 3 days, bed linen and towels are changed every 5 days, centralized laundry is provided, and Wi-Fi is available on site.

The house has two yoga areas - one cozy and bright on the ground floor with its own exit to the garden and a view of the cliff, the second in the open air on the roof with a stunning view of the sea. Also on the territory you will find cozy places for privacy and relaxation.

“Shine” is not just a hotel - it is people passionate about self-knowledge, united by a common dream and love for Crimea. Everyone here has their own history and their own practice.

From the feedback from participants in past groups after the “Transformation” seminar:

“I am grateful to all the events that brought me to this point. Now I know that in lifeeverything changes. Gguaranteed only."

“Every moment is valuable here, I feel this fullness as lightness and density at the same time”

“After the Transformation seminar, I returned home and found my old opened pack of cigarettes; it was hard to believe that 10 days ago I was smoking. At this point, more than 2 years have passed and I still don’t smoke.”

“When I read the mule mantra, I feel like time stops”

“After japa, I took steps that I didn’t have the courage to take before.”

“I have never eaten such delicious vegetarian food, never slept so soundly, and never seen such friendly and caring people in one place.”

This was my first time at such an event! And you know, I’m delighted) This is a real transformation of soul and body! Under the strict guidance of Evgeniy Titov, the practice took off in one breath! And 10-hour japa forever changed consciousness for the better!!! I didn’t want to leave;) I express my sincere gratitude to the organizers of the retreat, the guys with whom we walked this path to awareness together, and my deepest bow to Chef Marinochka for the exquisite vegetarian dishes!!!

Yoga tour to India.

I always dreamed of visiting India and in October of this year my dream came true. Overall impression of the tour: it was just great! The tour program was very rich and varied, along with yoga classes, there was a very well planned excursion part and tourist routes. I really liked the organization of the tour, Evgeniy made it clear from the very beginning that the tour program is not rigid and unchangeable, that changes are possible during the tour taking into account the wishes of all participants, that the main task is to ensure that the wishes of the participants are satisfied and everyone gets maximum pleasure. During the tour we got together many times and planned our next steps. For example, after we climbed to the foot of the Himalayas in Kerdanath, we had a choice: to descend on foot/by mule or to descend by helicopter, but in the end we chose the descent by helicopter, which saved us almost half the day and at the same time we had great fun from flying!
There were a lot of interesting things on the tour: visiting Sikh and Hindu temples, ashrams, meditation there, swimming in the Ganges, its tributaries, climbing to a waterfall in Reshikesh, staying at the Nirvana ashram and camping site, meditation on the roof in Delhi, at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, ascent on foot or by mule to the foothills of the Himalayas for 6-7 hours, helicopter flight, morning exercises under the starry sky, dancing in nature, psychological training, as well as great company and the atmosphere of the tour! And much more, including beautiful views of the mountains, the Ganges and Indian exoticism, sometimes shocking and sometimes impressive! There were so many impressions that it seems that the tour lasted a month! Many thanks to Evgeniy!

Himalayas 2015

Zhenya and Tanya! Thank you so much again for this unforgettable, bright, full of magic, unreal beauty, exoticism, adventure, and excellent yoga practice!!! Zhenya, you amazed me with your knowledge of unlimited quantities!!! interesting and educational information on Indian mythology, so much to remember and so exciting to tell!!! We have the warmest and most exciting memories from our trip! The only negative is that I really want to go back, but it’s always like that with India... Anyone who dreams of joining Zhenya’s trips to India, but doubts for some reason, should definitely go without hesitation!!!

Himalayas

Zhenya, thank you! For your prudence, sense of peace and us, the tour participants. For classes at dawn and under the starry sky.
Yoga and well-chosen kriyas helped us physically cope with the body’s adaptation to altitude, rethink ourselves and launch internal mechanisms for several months ahead. Mindfulness workshops have polished the glass of attentiveness to the world and to each other. We explored ourselves from the toes to the molars.
The organization was excellent, and a sign of this is that the trip was perceived not as a “tour”, but as a trip of old friends. Living conditions for Nepal are excellent. Special thanks for adjusting the route and variety of vehicles.
Zhenya, you are an unusual yogi. Along with hard work on yourself, you sincerely share your experience and love with others. This is very valuable.

Tour to India

One of my best trips to India. Gokarna is beautiful! The atmosphere is wonderful, the beach is great! The hotel was right on the beach, cozy and new. The trainer brings together people who are all interesting and cheerful. Various practices - 4 times a day (if necessary, you can oversleep). The trainer is top notch! I recommend.

Retreat in Crimea

Crimea. Seminar “Transformation” Hike for herbs.
New Year is just around the corner and there are still half of the fragrant herbs left in my yellow tin box. When I open it to make tea, the memories of that day fly out of it along with the aroma.
Break. We walk along the cliff, I walk along the edge and look down, according to legend, there is the bottom of an ancient river. I feel a slight thrill from the height and imagine how easily I take off and dive into invisible water.
Dandelion. I pick a huge dandelion, its golden veins reflecting the sunlight. To blow away his fluffy hair, I make an effort and the translucent parachutes slowly settle and easily touch the ground.
Lake. The jade toad looks at me and fascinates me with its beauty. I dive headfirst and feel how fatigue gently slides off my shoulders and dissolves in the water.
Table. I sit at a large wooden table and sort out the freshly collected herbs, twist them into bundles and tie them with twine. The king of the clary sage collection slightly sticks to my fingers, he is self-confident and persistent. The sad corollas of lemongrass are shyly tangled between the stubborn and lively stems of St. John's wort. Wormwood itself goes into my hands to become a talisman.
I pour tea and in my cup splashes that beautiful day with a pink-purple field, the heat of the day, the buzzing of a black bumblebee, a rubbed leg and a frog princess on the shore of the lake.

Yoga tour to India

I have long been drawn to India, its mystery and spice,
diversity and unpredictability. And so, in December the stars aligned -
I'm flying to Gokarna!
The location is perfect. We lived in an amazing hotel, the sea was within walking distance,
amazing view from the window. Oh, the sunsets are breathtaking!
The practices are gentle and incredibly powerful. It’s completely unnoticeable how it’s happening
transformation. It was an interesting, rich program, immersion in oneself
and African dances. Zhenya will not let you get bored :)
During breaks we swam in the sea and went on excursions.
A wonderful beach with the same name Paradise, where you want
just dissolve.
After the trip, you manage to maintain peace and joy.
Thanks to Zhenya for organizing the seminar, sensitive approach,
and for the special atmosphere of goodness!

Yoga retreat in Crimea

There was a lot of yoga, we went to the sea to swim in between classes, delicious lunches and dinners. It was a mix of spiritual and physical, fun and reflection, friendship and love, stars on the roof, sea, sun and Valerina’s wonderful dishes) I fell in love with yoga immediately, deeply and hopefully for a long time. Thanks to Zhenya and all the guys for such an experience and impressions!

Yoga seminars, Yoga tours, Regular classes by Zhenya Titov

It so happened that one day, almost seven years ago, I ended up in Zhenya’s class. Now I no longer vividly remember those feelings, but one thing remains a fact - after this class there were many, many more regular classes, seminars, visiting seminars, tours. And every time it’s a new experience and a new breath. I still can’t understand and catch when this happens and how Zhenya manages to do it, but rebirth almost always happens, during the most ordinary regular lesson. It’s as if Zhenya always gives in class what I really need right now, and this has been going on for quite a few years) How he “guesses” is a mystery for me that has still not been solved, especially since there are more than 20 people in the class ) It rarely happens that everything turns out favorably, being with a person for several days, practicing together, learning, traveling, remembering, rejoicing, joking, arguing, everything happens together as if one wave for everyone carries us to something new, not always simple and easy experience, opening up your own path for everyone. And, of course, I have no doubt about this, precisely thanks to Zhenya, who once told me: “You need to go study and teach yoga,” now I also have many Students, the best and most invaluable, precisely because each class, I pronounce exactly those phrases and create the same vibrations that settled in me from my best Teacher, Zhenya Titov) I sometimes speak his words of support, his soft heartfelt phrases, his kind jokes, copying him sometimes consciously, and sometimes unwittingly)

Good time of day everyone. just a great tour. Everything is clearly organized. you can feel the attention and love for your work. Many thanks to Zhenya.

yoga tour in Nepal

Traveling to Nepal for several years was a dream beyond reality for me, and now it suddenly came true! There are no words for what a miracle this is for me! Due to a childhood knee injury and damage to the spine, I thought that hiking (and even more so mountaineering) was a closed topic for me, but judging by my condition after the trip, this is just what I needed. Zhenya, thank you very much for this!!! With you, I wasn't afraid to take some risks. Travel, treks, horses, time for rest and recovery, and yoga were well organized. It was the most wonderful trip of my life. It was as if I was in a harmonious flow, and all my fears and worries along the way dissipated easily and quickly. I also want to thank the guide Lesha Sokolovsky, who supported and helped me a lot, and our sincere group! Guys, it was so cozy, fun and cordial with you! I'm looking forward to new travels)))

Yoga tour to India

India. The word itself is spicy and ambiguous. I merged into her matter smoothly and organically. I didn’t have to think about time and schedule, I could completely lose myself in contemplation, in the feeling of space and myself in it. During the morning sadhana, it was a pity to close my eyes, because I didn’t want to miss a single moment of the awakening of the mountains. I wanted to watch the first rays of the sun light up the snowy peaks. First with delicate pink veins, and a little later with bright orange triangles. An unforgettable ride up the mountains on horseback. Waterfalls, forests, streams, the sound of bells. This sound rolls between the thoracic ribs in the form of air bubbles and you physically feel how they tickle you from the inside. There was a lot of things - cities, nature, people, food, smells, sounds, emotions. For me, this trip is like a big, colorful and warm ball of impressions, which I will look at for a long time, admire and be a little sad. It’s important who discovers a new place and new knowledge for you, I can’t imagine if it were other people and a different time. Thank you so much for this incredible adventure!

Yoga tour to India Varanasi-Amritsar

This trip will forever remain in my heart. My dream came true and even more) Incredible impressions from the places where we were, many new realizations in the practice of Kundalini yoga. A wonderful group of like-minded people. Evgeniy Titov, low bow for everything - a very wise attitude towards people, gentle presentation. I especially liked the fact that students have the opportunity to find out in practice how to answer their questions on their own; there are no ready-made solutions, everything is individual. In my opinion, there was an energy exchange in the group that everyone needed. Special thanks for the comfortable living conditions; I came across royal hotel rooms. And I already have a sankalpa for Kailash!)

Retreat in Crimea

Amazing tour. Fabulous place. Luxurious living conditions. The food is amazing. Morning practices on a cliff overlooking the open sea change all previously collected ideas about the world in your head. A deep understanding of yoga, meditation, practices, purification of consciousness - this is my result after the yoga tour. A low bow and huge gratitude to Evgeniy and Valeria for organizing and conducting the tour. Friendly, sincere, sincere company, beautiful wild nature make the tour unforgettable. I was with my sister, a 10 month old baby, my daughter, everyone was completely delighted. Well, upon arrival home, everyone around me noticed my positive transformations. We are looking forward to new tours. Thank you everyone!

I am sincerely grateful to the amazing acquaintance with Zhenya Titov and the world of Kundalini. Every practice I admire Evgeniy’s intuition, enormous patience, and big heart! Classes are easy with sparkling humor, as if in one breath. I am incredibly glad that three years ago I came to the “Transformation” seminar. A fascinating journey into Kundalini yoga began with him. Now I can’t even imagine how you can live without this wonderful tool.

For me, this is a magical treasure for all occasions. There was a lot going on after the seminar. Interesting people began to come into my life, my space expanded, I boldly defended my boundaries at work, received a promotion, and communication began to bring joy. There was a feeling that the world had changed, it had become friendly and open. Situations that haven’t let go for a long time have disappeared! There was clarity. The concerns and fears associated with them dissolved, just a miracle! Life has changed! And most importantly, I learned to enjoy being in the present moment. And of course, I continue to learn this from Zhenya.

Yoga tour to India

Fabulous, unpredictable, mysterious and... so close... India... I've traveled a lot, but this is my first time in India. Gokarna is an unreal place in its energy. It was as if I had lived there all my life, everything: the smells, the colors, the sea, the air... turned out to be familiar. But the most important thing, of course, is that they are like-minded people, a teacher-leader and strong, inspiring... it was very sad to leave... the energy and charge received from the practices in Gokarna are so powerful that changes in life began to occur immediately upon arrival, which I was surprised by glad. Zhenya! Thank you very much for what you heard, for the fact that reality exceeded expectations. This journey turned my consciousness and life 180′. Thanks again!!!

Yoga tour to the Himalayas

I’ll start with the fact that it was my dream to visit the Himalayas. When I looked at photos on websites of guys with backpacks, rugs against the backdrop of mountains and rivers, I thought: how interesting these people live, where they find each other, someone this organizes everything, where to get the money? but when you go towards a dream, everything begins to miraculously simplify, move apart, come closer and, in the end, it comes to you. And now the Himalayas came to me, and I’m already standing among the brave, cool , cheerful guys with backpacks and rugs. In Delhi at the beautiful and terrible main bazaar. In Agra. In a quiet and peaceful ashram, where you want to be silent or speak only in a whisper. In the nirvana camp, where there is some special atmosphere of this place with the local residents, bonfire, the sunrise before your eyes. In Kedarnath - powerful, harsh, telling you “this is space, baby!!! Don’t even try to understand what century you are in, what you are, where you are!!!” And here are the backpacks, rugs, group, helipad and sadness... BUT THANK GOD that the Himalayas are so huge and next time we will just see them in another beautiful place. FRIENDS!!! who needs to get out of their comfort zone, prove something to themselves, do serious yoga, cry , laugh, learn stories from the Indian epic - this is for Titov’s wife. He will organize it for you. He is all in it, he fully participates in you, in the group, he is not somewhere, he is always here 100%. Zhenya, thank you so much.!!! friends, don’t sit at home, pack your backpack and you’ll be... like those people in the photo!!!

tour to india

I am very glad and happy that I ended up in our group at this particular time in India or the stars aligned :)) It seems to me that I received much more than I could have hoped for!
I liked how well the lessons were delimited, and most importantly, what information we received. There was never a moment when I really didn’t want to go to practice; on the contrary, I was afraid of missing out on some necessary information. And in general, this is the first time I come back from vacation with such a feeling of satisfaction, it’s not in vain, it’s not in vain that I spent these couple of weeks, worked on myself, rested and recharged my energy.
From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you for the time you devoted to us, for the lessons, for the practice, for the lectures, for your help in everything, in general for everything everything!!!

Yoga – tour to India

Tanya, Zhenya hello!
I wanted to thank you very much for such a magical and unforgettable trip! Friends say that I glow with happiness :)
In addition to the huge number of amazing places that we visited, I was able to look deeper into myself, get to know previously unknown sides of myself in interaction with others, and find new wonderful, close-minded friends. It was a journey into a new world for me, which will forever remain in my memory and heart! Despite the busy schedule and workload, everything was so easy and positive, the program was very well planned, and most importantly, it felt like everything was created with love. Thank you for adapting to the mood and well-being of each participant! I would really like to take part in the next tours :)
I wish you success and prosperity!

  • “An asana is a stationary and comfortable pose. By cessation of effort and concentration on the infinite, the asana is achieved...”— Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, 2-46, 2-47.

    Sometimes, faced with a large number of important things and lack of time in everyday life, we are in a hurry and experience nervous tension. Often this overstrain and haste becomes a way of life and is involuntarily projected onto everything we do, including yoga. Increasing psychosomatic tension leads to persistent muscular and psychological blocks, a feeling of rigidity and anxiety, which reduces the quality of our life.

    However, everything can be different if we learn to let go of tension with the help of yoga and, spreading out the mat, we leave our worries, desires and thoughts outside the room at least for a while. In this case, yoga can become an effective tool for preventing and eliminating the consequences of stress, as well as a powerful incentive for further spiritual growth and revealing the creative potential of your personality.

    All this can be achieved with the help of the basics of yoga - through the correct execution of yoga poses (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and also control of your sensory perception (pratyahara). At our retreat you will be able to go through these three main stages of classical yoga and experience their practical results for yourself. In particular, you will master the methods of relaxation in asana, set out in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, as well as in the works of the famous Russian yoga teacher Viktor Boyko, learn about the work of neuromuscular reflexes in asana, as well as how asana affects the body, nervous activity systems and mental activity. You will master basic pranayama techniques and learn about their safe use when performing asanas. Finally, through the practice of yoga nidra, you will gain practical experience of pratyahara - control of your sensory perception, deep relaxation and liberation from accumulated bodily and psychological tension.

    At our retreat, four hours of full-fledged practice await you, the theory will be given along the way. You will receive simple and accessible recommendations for mastering the art of relaxation in yoga in order to independently use this experience in the future.

    The practice of yoga nidra is accompanied by live meditative music - we have gongs, bells and a whole set of Tibetan singing bowls at our disposal. The velvety sounds of a gong, the mesmerizing singing of bowls, the tinkling of bells and the sound of rain will help create an atmosphere of comfort, peace and relaxation. At the end of the lesson, you will feel complete renewal, a surge of strength, filled with the beneficial energy of healing, peace of mind, lightness and freshness in every cell of your body.

    Retreat program:

    • Hatha yoga.
    • Pranayama.
    • Yoga nidra with gong and singing bowls.

    Contraindications:

    • State of alcohol and drug intoxication.
    • Mental illnesses, as well as borderline mental states.
    • Increased intracranial pressure.
