  Rating of Chinese fishing rods. Feeder fishing from "a" to "z"

The shops have a very wide selection of fishing accessories and accessories, which sometimes even confuse experienced fishermen. Feeder rods also did not go unheeded. The assortment of various manufacturers, prices and characteristics will confuse knowledgeable fishermen, what to speak about novices.

The first thing that must guide the selection of rods - fishing conditions. Before you go to the store you need to know about the strength of the current in the reservoir, its depth and the preferential relief of the bottom, and also take into account the species composition of underwater inhabitants. A beginner will have to choose one rod, and experienced fishermen will have about 10 models in their box, oriented to different fishing conditions.

For bottom fishing there are a lot of different gear, but it is feeder rods that are considered the most effective and often used. Large and weighty feeders that are used in the equipment contribute to the rapid delivery of bait to the bottom layers, and allow fishing in pleasure.

A significant difference between these rods from the usual spinning rods is in the removable vershinka, which are responsible for the role of the bite alarm and a relatively large number of rings (there may be about 20 pieces). Materials used are the same as for other forms.

Literally translated from English feeder means nothing but a feeder. In the eighties, the idea of such a tool came up with one of the craftsmen. And this method of catching quickly gained popularity among fishermen, having received a huge amount of improvements.

Now I catch the most!

The English fishermen quickly adapted to such snap-ins and immediately found use for this kind of gear. After the British fishermen evaluated the effectiveness of this kind of gear, their popularity increased dramatically.

The small distance between the bait and the baited hook is a big advantage of such tackle. During repeated castings, the bait gradually falls out of the feeder and part of it remains at the bottom, additionally attracting fish. And the large weight of the feeder only contributes to the spontaneous cutting of the fish.

Before buying a feeder rod, you need to clarify for yourself some simple but very important nuances. If you buy a rod for the first time, then you better get an inexpensive and versatile model. As you gain experience, the fisherman will be able to make demands on the rod himself.

If you plan to fish in places with strong currents over long distances, you will need to pick up a rod of great length with the appropriate test. Also do not forget about the size of the estimated production. For in the pond you will not need rough gear, but for carp fishing you need to take the rod harder.

It is also important to take into account the frequency of departure to the reservoir and the number of hours that you plan to spend on fishing. Buying an expensive rod when you go fishing no more than 5 times per season will be just a waste of money. If you are an avid fisherman who spends almost all his free time fishing, then you can and should use a professional rod.

may be characterized by a large number of different indications:
  • rod length;
  • removable done;
  • feeder rod test;
  • system;
  • material;
  • crossing rings.

The length of modern models of fishing rods for feeder fishing can be from 2.7 to 4.8 meters, manufacturers make a step in the length of 30 centimeters. Less commonly, manufacturers of English models may have a different length.

Most often, domestic fishermen use feeder rods whose length ranges from 3.6 to 3.9 meters. These rods make it possible to send equipment over a long distance and are considered the best solution for fishing in our waters.

They also have excellent features that are able to provide complete control over the tooling. If you plan to throw feeder equipment at an impressive distance, you will need to buy a form longer than 4 meters.

Fishing rods with lengths ranging from 4.2 to 4.8 meters are oriented for fishing in places with high flow speed. Such fishing rods should be installed vertically on the shore of the reservoir in order to reduce the length of the fishing line lying in the water.

Some models come complete with extra knees, the use of which can significantly increase their length. This is very convenient, since paying for one rod you can use it for fishing from a boat and from the shore at the same time.

Each model of the rod, which is not a cheap one, is completed with 3-4 removable vershinki made of synthetic material. Fiberglass or carbon fiber tips are painted in bright colors, as they will play a role and should be clearly visible.

The pinnacles play the role of a shock absorber when hauling fish, and also serve as bite alarms.

These done have a different indication of stiffness. Usually such testimony is indicated in ounces, this is done in order to pay tribute to the British. Ounce is 28.35 grams. This indicator is determined by hanging the sinker to the tip of the rod, the load is fixed when the tip is bent at an angle of 90 degrees. Marking is applied to the form itself and it can be of three types:

  • For fishing on water bodies with a low flow velocity or completely without it soft tips do. Most often, such models are made of fiberglass, as it has greater flexibility than other materials.
  • Medium hardiness tips  used in windy weather or for fishing in water bodies with an average flow rate.
  • Carbon fiber hard done  used for fishing in places with a strong current.

The tip is not a continuation of the rod and especially does not affect its characteristics. During casting this part of the form is experiencing minimal stress. Their purpose is a reaction to the bite and nothing more. Each fisherman puts forward individual requirements for the detector, and therefore the selection must be done individually.

There are no universal rods, each model is intended for fishing in specific conditions. For the selection of the optimal characteristics of the fishing rod on its form there is an inscription responsible for the appropriate weight of the load for casting (sometimes the word is indicated instead of the inscription).

  • Snap-ups whose weight does not exceed 30 grams  you can throw a rod class Light;
  • Feeders weighing up to 60 grams  better to throw with a fishing rod class Medium-Light;
  • Rods Medium designed for casting gear from 60 to 80 grams;
  • The class of the rod Medium-Heavy means that it is optimal for fishing with tackle weight from 80 to 100 grams;
  • Heavy feeder rods allow anglers to cast weight from 100 to 120 g;
  • Heavy class Extra-Heavy models provide comfortable fishing with snap weights. over 120 grams.

Observe the feeder rod test is mandatory. If you take a feeder with a smaller mass, then this may adversely affect the sensitivity of the tip. The use of troughs of greater mass may cause the rod to break during casting.

The structure of the feeder rod is also a very important characteristic and directly affects the choice of a particular model:

  • Quick build  able to provide long casts tackle and quick hooking of fish. Under load, the first knee and the tip of the rod are deformed. Dump big fish with such a rod is very difficult, so you need some experience.
  • Slow build  provides a medium distance casting. Under load, all the rod is deformed, except for the handle. Such a fishing rod is able to extinguish jerks of large fish, so for beginners it will be the best option.
  • Cheap feeder rods have progressive build. These rods are called parabolics, since their bending depends on the force of the load.

At production of fishing-rods the used materials are very important factor. The main characteristics of the form will depend on the materials used and they affect the price of the rod. Most often, manufacturers use such materials during production:

  1. carbon fiber;
  2. fiberglass;
  3. composite materials (different combination of previous materials).

Each material is different in its personalities and gives the rod certain characteristics with which the fisherman can be guided when choosing a model:

  • Carbon fiber. This is a modern material, but despite all the innovation it has some drawbacks. Carbon fiber rods are very much. And the forms of such material are very fragile and delicate, therefore they require special care and attitude. Such models are made for experienced fishermen.
  • Composite materials. These are inexpensive rods that are the perfect choice for beginners. The material has more weight and increased rigidity, but it is durable.
  • Fiberglass. These rods are used by fishermen, when it is necessary to throw a snap over a long distance, or when fishing occurs in places with a large current, as an example, it will not be possible to use such a fishing rod.

Access rings deserve special attention. Many fishermen do not pay enough attention to the rings when buying a rod, which is then regretted. After a certain period, it can be noticed that it becomes more difficult to cast, and the fishing line may be subject to wear.

Many fishermen begin to boldly assure everyone that this is the fault of the manufacturer. And for experienced anglers, the reason immediately becomes clear, they only need to look at the crossing rings. If the quality of the flow rings is low, they will quickly fail by rubbing with a fishing line.

The material from which the carrying rings are made must be of sufficient quality. Feeder rods are constantly amenable to stress and absolutely all models are subject to wear, but the failure time directly depends on the material used to make the rings.

Fastening the rings to the rod blank is also a very important point. Prefer models with three legs on the rings. All anglers say that Fuji and Balzer rings are the best. They are made with inserts of various materials, such as titanium, silicon or porcelain.

Rating feeder rods

With how to choose a feeder rod, we figured out, now it's time to move on to the specifics. What are the best feeder rods and which producers prefer to give an advantage when choosing and buying a rod?

Especially in order to answer all these questions, our editors decided to make a rating feeder rods. Budget and expensive forms are involved in the rating, so every fisherman will be able to choose the right model.

Shimano is deservedly considered to be the most technological company in the fishing market, which among other things also produces rods for feeder fishing. Shimano feeder rods are available in various versions for different fishing conditions, as well as in a different price range. Our administration liked one model of the rod:

  1. Legendary rod   Shimano Vengeance Feeder  It is considered one of the best fishing rods for beginner fishermen, which costs relatively little, but at the same time does not lose its mark and is made of the appropriate quality. Removable tips allow fishing with a fishing rod both in stagnant water and in reservoirs over.

  1. Blanks Daiwa AqualiteFeeder  represent a whole line of models made of carbon. The minimum weight and the highest quality - these are the differences between these fishing rods.
  2. DaiwaWNHF are premium models. The graphite used in the manufacture of these rods is a very strong and lightweight material. For fishing on reservoirs with a fast current, the best fishing rod is simply not to be found.

Now I catch the most!

  I caught this carp using a biting activator based on dry blood. No more fishing without a catch and no excuses for your bad luck! It's time to change everything! The best activator biting 2017! Made in Italy...

The feeder rod (feeder) is called a special fishing tackle, as well as the method of fishing using this type of rod. The term, like the name, came from English (to feed / feeder - feed / breadwinner), which is not surprising, since this method of fishing originates in England.

The main difference between the feeder and the usual fishing rod is the flexible tip of the rod for a more accurate indication of the bite, as well as a greater number of rings on the top, which contributes to the “sensitivity” of the indication.

Since the feeder is intended for bottom fishing, the differences in the method of fishing in the classical way are very large, namely: if in classical fishing the bait is placed on a hook, then in the case of the feeder, on the equipped fishing line is placed with additional feeding, as it spreads, the fish will approach the site casting.

The bottom line is that with this method of catching, the frequency of casts can vary from 10 minutes to several hours, it all depends on the type of reservoir, the time of year and the luckiness of the fisherman. Part of the feeding from the feeder will spread along the bottom, attracting fish and creating a place for feeding, part - will be simply eaten by fish.

Basic requirements for feeder rod

Requirements for each fishing gear, of course, is directly angler. However, the correct choice of feeder depends on many factors, such as: the nature of the reservoir on which it will be used, its depth and course, the presumed type of fish for which they go fishing. All these seemingly trifles affect the right choice.

Performance test

The basis of the test feeders, is their suitability for use relative to the class of gear, namely, the weight with which it can be used.

For example, for Piker (the lightest types), the allowable weight of the rigging should not exceed 30-35 grams, while for the Extra Heavy class, in some cases, the use of snap-weights up to 300 grams is permissible.

Of course, even acquiring “Khevi” it is possible to fish on small rivers and lakes, but experienced fishermen claim that it becomes like a very sophisticated torture.

Length

The length directly depends on the class of the feeder itself. Often, the length of the "Picker" does not exceed 3 meters, the "medium" - 3.6 meters, the "extra hevi" can reach up to 5 meters (depending on the test weight).

How to catch more fish?

  For 13 years of active fishing I have found many ways to improve the bite. And here are the most effective:
  1. Activator biting. Attracts fish in cold and warm water with the help of the pheromones that make up the composition and stimulates its appetite. Pity that Rosprirodnadzor  wants to impose a ban on its sale.
  2. More sensitive gear. Read the relevant manuals for the specific type of gear.  on the pages of my site.
  3. Bait based pheromones.
You can get the rest of the secrets of successful fishing for free by reading my other materials on the site.

As a rule, the length and class are selected on the basis of the type of reservoir, the range of proposed casts, as well as the type of fish. In this regard, it is very difficult to delineate the "reference" dimensions.

Material

Feeders are usually produced from three types of materials: carbon, composite, or fiberglass. Each of them has its advantages and disadvantages, namely:

  • Carbon fiber  very light, its weight is almost not felt. However, the high cost and fragility make you think about the expediency of its use;
  • Composite  - reliable, strong and cheap, but its weight is incomparably more models of carbon;
  • Fiberglass  - the choice of real professionals - durability, a huge range of throws and undeniable reliability caught the fishermen around the world.

The best models of feeder rods

Of course, among the fishermen there have always been more and less popular models of rods, if we approach this issue from the practical side, then the opinions of professionals and amateurs can be systematized.

For fishing on small rivers

On small rivers with not very strong currents, the most popular are class models: "Light" and "medium", they have a length of not more than 3.6 meters, test weight up to 100 grams  and a comparatively no greater cost than deserve the authoritative "Yes" of many fishing fans around the globe.

For fishing on large rivers

For reservoirs of this type are most popular. heavy class models, their length is up to 4.25 m and the test weight is 150 grams,  explains this popularity for use on "active" rivers.

For fishing on lakes and ponds with standing water

Unlike the two previous classes, choosing a feeder for lakes is somewhat more difficult. This happens because it is impossible to take into account all the factors that may affect the process of fishing.

Boat or coastal, the depth of the reservoir, the amount of vegetation at the bottom, all these nuances oblige the angler to select the "ideal" rod experimentally. General indicators are approximately equal: the weight of the test is up to 120 grams, and the length is up to 4 meters.  However, everything is selected individually.

Feeder rods of the most well-known companies

In the world there are a huge number of companies engaged in the production of fishing accessories, but there are those few who, with their quality and versatility, deserve great respect from fishermen around the world.

Shimano

Japanese company "Shimano"  makes feeders of the average price range, differing in the reliability and unpretentiousness. Due to this, she deserved a large number of laudatory reviews, both from amateurs and from those who ate the dog on feeder fishing.

The most popular models in Russia are: Shimano joy, Shimano Aernos, Shimano beastmaster.

Salmo

Baltic company "Salmo"  over 20 manufactures quality gear at budget prices. Not high cost and unconditional reliability served as an excellent start for this relatively young company.

Among the entire line of goods produced by her, the most popular models were: Elite, Diamond, Tournament.These models, as a rule, are always available in specialized stores, due to the huge hype on them.

Banax piccolo

"Banax Piccolo"  This is one of the projects of the Russian company Moscanella. All products of this company are made exclusively by Russian engineers, in accordance with the conditions of Russian fishing. "Banax" is a line of top-class rods, they are created from the highest quality materials and have always been distinguished by their reliability.

A distinctive feature of all Banax feeders is the presence of an additional insert in the package bundle, which increases the working length by 50 cm!

The most popular models among fishermen are:

  • PIC35-40 / 100  calculated on the weight of snap up to 100 grams;
  • PIC40-45 / 150  designed for weight up to 150 grams.

Daiwa

"Daiwa"  - Another representative of the Japanese fishing genius. Despite the huge contradictions at the beginning of the company's existence, at the moment their products are popular all over the world. The reason for this is the legendary Japanese quality, relatively low cost, as well as unpretentiousness.

It is noteworthy that in the environment of fishermen this brand is the one that causes the biggest discussions, for the reason that everyone who bought a “dive” once remains a fan of the brand for many years.

The most popular models in the Russian market:

  • Powermesh (120-150 gr.);
  • PROCASTER (150 gr.);
  • Windcat - 80-100 gr.

Feeder Rod Reviews

It was very difficult for me to choose a feeder. All comrades gave different advice, but the very one did not have the necessary experience to choose the most attractive for me. Sales assistants in stores did not inspire confidence at all, and I missed all their arguments.

At some point, the uncertainty began to annoy me, and, succumbing to temptation, I bought the Salmo Diamond. Probably, this was my surest decision in the past year! No matter how much I used it, I was always glad to purchase and never regretted my decision! If someone, like me, previously, in thought, what does it mean to buy - do not think - "Salmo"  will be the best choice!

I use "Shimano joy"  already 2 years. Never had a problem! Simply, reliability and quality of performance delight me without ceasing. I recommend everyone, you will not regret!

Back in 2005 I bought “Salmo supreme”  who faithfully worked for 9 years! And this is for 12 dollars !! According to this, when he "outlived his" doubts in choosing a new one did not arise! I purchased a model "Tournament"  and a whole month was happy as a child. I rushed with him all dreaming of getting to the lake sooner! My expectations were met in full. Excellent quality for little money! Great choice!

Evgeny Pavlovich

Received from his son as a gift "Banax piccolo PIC36-41 / 130". Somehow long ago I was going to discover a new type of fishing, but all the “hands did not reach”. Immediately appreciated the excellent quality of the rod, there was a feeling that it was produced right under my arm!

And what was my shock when I learned that it was made not somewhere in Italy (it seemed by name), but in Russia. Very pleased with this gift, I use it whenever I can go fishing. I am very pleased that there is an opportunity to buy quality gear from a Russian manufacturer.

   Feeder

Simultaneously with the growth in the number of feeder lovers, the number of questions directly related to catching is growing. Some of them are new, but most - have sounded more than a dozen times. In this article I will try to merge everything into one heap and create a kind of "Top 10" feeder errors. I would like to make a reservation in advance that the following is my personal opinion, which was formed as a result of perennial fishing trips, and in no way claims to be the ultimate truth. So let's go :)

"Feeder fishing - expensive!"

A very common misconception that repels many people from mastering this gear. Especially when they see dozens of feeders, tubes with rods and other gadgets. In fact, feeder fishing is a very affordable type of fishing in terms of price. For the development of gear do not need expensive top rods and reels. A good rod that will allow you to understand all the delights of feeder fishing costs about 2500-3000 rubles. For the first time, the coil can be taken from any other gear - if you “hook”, update your arsenal. A huge number of feeders also do not need - five or ten pieces, depending on the conditions of fishing. Hooks, fishing line, accessories - all as in other types of fishing. This arsenal is quite enough to "feel" all the delights of catching and not cause bad emotions. Well, if you like it - then God himself commanded - there is no upper limit. As for my fishing - I started with a simple, converted spinning with a feeder tip mounted into the upper knee. I caught literally two or three fishing this way, after which I went to the store and bought a cheap composite feeder of some unknown Chinese office (Grows culture or something ...). I liked the fishing very much, which is why the annual update of the feeder gear arsenal went. At the moment I have in my arsenal four main working rods from Drennan rulers Matchpro and Acolyte.

Feeder fishing has another undeniable advantage - accuracy of feeding. Thanks to him, fishing is limited to 2-3 kilograms of finished bait, which is very, very little. For comparison - for one fishing float harvesters feed up to 20-25 liters of the finished mixture - you will agree, quite a lot!

As for the cost of working sets of equipment - again, everything is quite budget. Especially when compared with the spinning, and especially plug fishing - often one plug rod stands as an armful of feeder rods for all fishing conditions.

"Why buy a feeder rod - any one will do!"

A very common misconception, especially among beginners and among those who come to the feeder from the traditional bottom gear. It would seem - equipped with a conventional spinning feeder whip and catch yourself. But there are a lot of nuances - weak poklevki are not displayed in any way, to pull out a large fish with a short rod is not easy, to throw a heavy trough (often 100-120 grams) with usual spinning, which test is up to 40 grams on average without the risk of breakage for the rod is impossible. When the feeder was just being mastered, an experiment was carried out with a friend: they caught an active spring roach, a rather large one - 100-150 grams. Catch both on the moth, from one point. I caught an unpretentious feeder rod, and he - spinning with an attached whip. The result was not so predictable as stunning: in two hours of fishing I caught 18 fish, it is two. Everything is simple - those bites, which the feeder registered as rather active pulls and forced to hook fish, did not display spinning at all! Then a friend took a feeder rod and from three casts caught three roaches! After this fishing spinning, he left for his intended purpose, and he went for a more suitable for such fishing "stick."

"Tackle must be reliable - thick fishing line, leashes - durable"

Initially I thought the same way. Therefore, put on the main 0.35, the leashes knitted generally from braids of 0.15 millimeters. However, a strange thing - often the fish simply refused to peck on my gear! And despite the fact that the neighbors nearby are catching a decent fish! Carp fishing has become a fat point in my “coarsening”, when the fish spun on the well-fed point - it caught the line, bubbled, but did not pick it up. What I just did - experimented with nozzles, baits, bait - not in any! Whenever I changed the leash - instead of a braid I put a mono-tail with a diameter of 0.16 - less than a couple of minutes after the throwing, as a confident pull followed, and the kilogram carp was on the pitch. Since then, gradually thinning, came to this option. The main - only braid. In addition to better sensitivity to poklevki, it has an order of magnitude smaller diameter, which is essential when fishing in the current - less snap, allows the use of lower weight feeders. As for the diameter - this thing is generally very conditional, and is used only to show how one cord of the same manufacturer differs from another cord. There are many tests on the Internet when the basket was examined under a microscope and measured with a micrometer - the discrepancy between the declared diameter and the real one was almost 200%! 20-30 percent underestimation of the real diameter does not disdain even eminent manufacturers, whose name is always well-known among fishermen. Therefore, when choosing a cord, it is necessary to look at the breaking load and only on it. The coils of the following diameter are wound on my reels - for a Heavy class rod (the main river tool) - a cord with a breaking load of 15 pounds (0.12 diameter written on the label). For the medium class rod, a cord with a breaking load of 10 pounds (0.1 mm on the label). And for a piker, I use a high-quality mono-wheel with a diameter of 0.16 millimeter. This is quite enough to cope even with large fish. Of course, if you use when dumping all the cushioning properties of the rod and work with the reel friction.

(All up to a single released back. There were 4 such cages)

As for the leads, I have three main working diameters of 0.1–0.12 and 0.14 millimeters. In extreme cases (catching a trophy chub or carp), coarsening of up to 0.16-0.18 mm is possible. With proper work tackle this is enough for confident fishing. This year, on a leash of 0.12 millimeter, I caught a bream at 3,200 grams, and did not experience any difficulties at the same time. The main thing is to fend off every movement, every jerk of the fish with the rod blank and not to keep the coil's friction brake clamped!

“The more hooks, the better!”

Quite often, this delusion is heard. Sometimes, when inspecting a normal feeder at a glance at first glance, you are horrified - a neatly tied assembly, say, a paternoster, hung with three or four hooks. To the question “Why?” The answer is always standard - “Nuu, experimenting with nozzles, what is best for. And often you get two fish each. ” To my reasonable remark “You will get a large carp (or other large fish). On the free hook, you cling to the grass, the snag, or the most offensive - for the landing net at the end of the haul. The fish naturally comes off. What will you do? ”Most fishermen found it difficult to answer.

"The manger does not matter - hung any and catch"

I often observe amusing situations - on a standing pond they catch an absolutely transcendental weight with a feeder - 80 or even 100 grams. To my remark, “Why?” They answer, “What's the difference? Flies, the food delivers to the point of catching - what more do you need? ” The logic in this answer is present, but there are a number of nuances - first, the heavy trough falls into the water much louder than the light one. Secondly, under its weight the feeder can easily fall into a thick layer of silt - the whole meaning of feeder fishing is lost. Well, as for the purely emotional side of the question - it is a dubious pleasure to ditch out a 100 gram pulp or crucian with a similar weight of the feeder. In addition, in order to throw a 100 gram feeder, you need a rod of “heavy” class, which significantly coarsens the general concept of gear.

As for the weight, and the shape of the feeder and its type - there is a very important nuance. If there is a steep brow in the place of catching (and even when littered, then there is a guard at all) and you have to catch in its lower part - use either plastic feeders with “wings” or others that float well. This year, faced with an extremely funny situation. It was the first time on the river, and I had to catch on a steep rocky brow. The flow in the place of catching was strong enough, it was necessary to catch 90 gram feeding trough. Having tapped the bottom, I found the curb, but did not suspect the degree of its steepness and the nature of the bottom. In general, after five casts he cut off five metal feeders. Desperate, he set up a plastic feeder with wings that floats well. And it went - thanks to a good lift, the manger emerged and did not cling to the curb, the hooks stopped.

“The river bait should be heavy, inert, and the lake should be explosive, light.”

In this case we are talking about the dynamics, the work of the bait at the bottom. Heavy prikormka spreads carpet along the bottom, has no pop-up particles. Light, on the contrary, is actively working in the water column, has a lot of floating particles that attract fish from afar. According to fishermen, if you use light bait on the river, then first of all we will collect trifles. Everything is good, everything is correct, but here the classic substitution of concepts takes place. Prikormochnye compositions should not be divided into light lake and heavy river, but to start from whether there is small fish in the fishing zone and what is its concentration. After all, in the absence of little things (and this happens very often) and the dominant large fish to attract this largest fish to the point is easier just active, explosive bait, which with its floating particles from afar lure the fish to the stern spot. And both on the lake and on the river. However, when targeting large fish, bait should contain a large number of large, heavy particles — large fish that have sailed must not only “smell”, but also have something to eat. These particles can be all kinds of cereals and cereals, corn, peas, animal components. It turns out what you need - floating particles will attract fish from a distance, and a large fraction will cover the "table" and the approached fish will be actively fed.

Another thing, if at the point of catching there are schools of small fish - roach, booster, bream, God forbid, bleak. Any little bit dusty bait will gather all this little thing to the feeder first, and the fishing will be spoiled - the little thing just won't let you fish, in the fall it will eat the baited hook. Therefore, when fishing in such conditions, the bait should be large, and the bait - inactive, inert, absolutely not dusting. It should fall out of the trough and lie at the bottom of the compact pile, not attracting the attention of detail. Also in such situations there is a sense in feeding only porridges and cereals, without the addition of "dusty" shop bait.

"Large fish large nozzle"

This principle is not a delusion in its pure form, but it requires some clarification. Indeed, with the dominance of trivia, large fish can be caught, if you “cut off” the trifle. There are many ways, but the most effective is using bait. 2-3 corn, or 2 peas, small roach or a dense buster is hardly swallowed, but large fish - with pleasure. However, in practice, things are not always so rosy. Very often, a large fish completely refuses to eat a large bait, preferring a worm, 2-3 maggots or 2-3 mice on a hook of 16 numbers. Repeatedly faced with this situation - you will try the entire arsenal of available baits and nozzles in various combinations - the result is zero or almost zero. You start to experiment with the length of the leash. And when you reach the meter lead from a fishing line with a diameter of 0.12 mm, with a hook of 14-16 numbers and baited with it with two or three moths, a sure bite occurs. Confident that pecked a trifle, cut, and there is a good bream! This happens often, and all the stereotypes should be discarded - large fish is sometimes easier to seduce with natural-looking 2 cranks than a large bundle unnaturally dangling above the bottom.

Of course, such whims are far from frequent. But if it so happened that the fish refuses to take the baits and baits you have - just try, you never know ...

"The whips in the kit go strictly under a certain weight of the feeder"

Perhaps the most popular misconception among novice lovers of feeder fishing. In fact, the whip has nothing to do with the weight of the drop trough. The whip is selected directly under the conditions of fishing - in order to ensure minimum preload gear and display a bite. He will test one ounce or four - it all depends on the conditions of fishing. It is not necessary to immediately change the whip when changing the feeder weighing 30 grams with the feeder weighing 60 grams. If a 30 gram feeder gave the necessary preload, set the installed whip into position, then why wouldn't the 60 gram feeder do this? Moreover, the choice of the whip for fishing, I produce according to the following criteria. If the catch is to be in a reservoir with stagnant water, two options are possible. The first one is windless weather and relatively close casting (up to 50 turns of the coil) - just put the whip in 0.5 ounces. Whatever feeder caught. The second option is a strong wind and breaking wave. A soft whip in such conditions will swing to the beat of the waves, which will greatly complicate the registration of the bite. Therefore, depending on the strength of the waves, I put either 1 oz or 1.5 oz. That's the whole problem of choice! Well, the third case is night fishing. Taking into account the fact that at night the bite will be somewhat more confident than in the daytime, I put the whip in 1 ounce. I only put it to reduce the likelihood of damage to the quiver in the dark.

On the river, the choice of done is somewhat different, but also without any special knowledge. If in the place of catching the flow is weak or absent (pit, return flow, pool, bay), then I put the whip in 1 ounce. If for moderate - put quivertip in 2 ounces. If strong - 3 oz. Fishing on the river means picking the feeder under the conditions of fishing - on a strong current you don’t catch a feeder weighing 10-20 grams, it will simply demolish it. Similarly, there is no need to use a 100-gram feeder in a small bay with standing water. The tip is chosen based on the consideration of all these factors. A reasonable question may arise - “Why not catch, say, with a 1-ounce whip, on a strong current?”. The answer is simple - a soft whip over the arch of the arc and it will cease to perform its functions. From here and the forced tampering of tackle, but not from the fact that a large feeder is used.

The next misconception that occurs for beginners is tightly intertwined with the previous one, with one coming from the second.

"You can not catch with a soft tip heavy feeder - break the tip!"

The feeder tip is just a bite recorder. No role in the cast he does not play. Absolutely easy, you can throw a feeder weighing 100 grams with a rod with a 0.5 oz dough tip. The question is different - can your rod throw such a weight? After all, throwing a picker, designed for a weight of no more than 40 grams, a feeder weighing 100 grams, you risk breaking the rod. Rod, but not a whip! Therefore, we must proceed from what is the maximum test of your rod and try not to exceed it. In addition, do not forget that the weight written on the rod is the total weight, the maximum for casting. And if “100 grams” is written on the rod, it means that the rod is capable of throwing a total weight of one hundred grams, but not a hundred gram feeder! Do not forget that the feed also has its own weight, and under the hundred grams written on the rod, the manufacturer implies either an empty stogrammovy feeder, or a feeder weighing 80 grams with 20 grams of feed.

So how did the feeder whips break down? The causes of breakdowns are quite commonplace. The most common is a breakdown during overlap - when the free run of the fishing line is not checked on the cast, and the resulting overlap around the rings of the whip breaks it, sometimes in several places. Another common breakdown is an exhausting breakdown - when the fisherman is too lazy to get up and clean up the garbage adhering to the line - grass, fluff, etc. At some point, the critical mass of debris accumulates near the tulip, the fishing line stops passing freely through the debris, excessive tension occurs and the whip breaks. Also commonplace breakdowns are not uncommon - he bent his arms, stepped on, sat down on him (and it happens!), Squeezed in the car door. But all these failures are equally likely to apply to both the whip and any other element of the gear. Do not forget about marriage - there are breakdowns in unexpected places because of a marriage; a new 4-ounce tip broke at a friend's moment at the moment of separation from the bottom of the feeder. Broke in the place where it is inserted into the trough, and so neatly that the remaining part of the second knee barely got. As for the damage directly at the time of casting due to the use of heavy feeders, then all this is a fairy tale, wandering from one fisherman to the second. At least, none of the huge number of my friends feederschiki such a breakdown is not something that I have not met, but even did not hear about it from others.

Well, the last misconception, but not the last in its popularity. Often we hear it from spinnings and other supporters of active fishing.

"Catching on feeder for the lazy - abandoned and wait"

“You sit in a soft comfortable chair, legs stretched out. Opened a bottle of beer. Sunbathing in the sun. That's all your feeder fishing. " Phrases like this are often heard from fishermen. This phrase is more suitable for donators, “bludgeons”, exhibiting a stockade on the bank of the river and then waiting for a bite. But I must admit that they have a lot of work - put up, recheck, drop 10 gear. Drunk - so all the guard. The feeder is different. The basis of feeder fishing is lure. Rather, its filing. The first 1-2 hours of fishing at the place of catching is forming a bait spot, on which the fish is pulled. The amount of bait can reach several liters. Tactics of prikormlivaniya can be different - starting with retake every 2-3 minutes and ending with the hanging of a large feed-trough and delivery to the point of catching 20-30 large feeders. Constant re-casting in order to maintain the concentration of bait at the point of catching. My record - with enough active fishing (resetting in 2-3 minutes) in a daylight fed up a 17-liter bucket of finished bait. Fish, by the way, were caught too much. This feeder fishing, in the way in which the British invented it, is very active, and in terms of the number of casts it often exceeds other methods of fishing.
