Dandelion Mother and Stepmother

Dandelion grows in meadows, gardens, vacant lots, near homes. It has adapted to trampling better than other herbaceous plants. If we try to pluck a dandelion from the soil, then only the leaves will remain in our hands, and the powerful, fleshy, long root of the plant grows deeply into the soil, reaching the aquifers. Therefore, dandelion can grow in dry, trampled areas.

Coltsfoot is a perennial herbaceous plant with long branched underground shoots and rhizomes. Coltsfoot blooms very profusely. Already in early spring, yellow circles of basket-shaped inflorescences appear along railway embankments, along hillocks, along the edges of roads, in vacant lots, of which there are many in the city, especially in areas of new buildings. This is one of the first herbaceous plants to bloom in our country.

Sosna L source

Pine - an evergreen tall tree, up to 35 m, lives 150-200 years, sometimes up to 400 years. Leaves in the form of needles. Needles - smooth, sharp, hard. Pine, like all conifers, does not have flowers. In May, the yellowish cones release pollen and fall on other cones. The winged seeds ripen in woody cones in the second year. Pine is a light-loving plant, unpretentious, grows both on dry sand, forming mossy forests, and in conditions of high humidity.

Larch - this is a tree of the Siberian, or northern taiga. Larch is a cold-resistant plant that grows in areas reaching up to Far North, high in the mountains. It needs large streams of light and does not grow well in dark conditions or in heavily moist soil. Larch can successfully grow, bloom and produce seeds. Like all conifers, larches do not have flowers. Seeds are formed in small cones with seed scales. The short, soft needles of larches emerge from yellowish buds every spring and fall like leaves every autumn, hence the tree's name.

Ice is water in a solid state. It is formed at temperatures below 0 °C. The peculiarity of ice is that it forms on the surface of water and is transparent even when thick. The main ice reserves on Earth are concentrated in the polar caps, mainly in Antarctica, where the thickness of the ice layer reaches 4 km.

Snow consists of snowflakes - small crystals of frozen water. The color of the snow appears white because of the air between the crystals. Snow forms when the air temperature is below 0 °C. The height of snow cover on Earth does not exceed 4–5 meters.

Ira read in a book how to do this. Here's what it said:

  1. Pour unboiled water into a small jar. Such water contains more air, which the roots need to grow.
  2. It is better to take a transparent jar to make it easier to monitor the water level.
  3. Place the onion head on top of the jar with the bottom of the onion touching the water.
  4. In order for the leaves to germinate together, the onion must be exposed to light in a warm place.
  5. After 2 - 3 days you will see roots appear on the bulb.
  6. When the roots grow, green leaves will “hatch” from the bulb.
  7. Make sure the onion roots are always touching the water.
  8. Wait until there are a lot of leaves, then cut them off and eat to your health!

18. Ira did everything as she read in the book, and then left for five days on an excursion to another city. When she returned, she saw that the roots had not sprouted. The chick sat with a ruffled look; it seemed to the children that he was looking around in fear. Kostya and Dasha began to discuss what to do. The guys' statements are given below. Get to know them.

He is so small and cannot fly. Left without help, he will die, because there will be no one to take care of him. Let's take him home and feed him. And when he grows up and learns to fly, we will release him into the wild.

I heard that birds living in captivity cannot later adapt to life in the forest. It's better to leave him in the forest. His nest was probably destroyed by predators. Let's take it far away from here so that predators won't find it, and leave it somewhere in the thick grass.

Do you share the guys' point of view? Mark your answer with a sign✓ .

Explain why you hold this point of view.
