Now let's take care of the decoration. The basis of the design will be autumn maple leaves. We cut them out of velvet, coated or foiled cardboard (or felt) in red, yellow, orange and green.

We use the same stencil - the leaves should differ only in color.

Now we select a beautiful phrase, a quote or a congratulation dedicated to the teacher, print it in a decorative font on a small rectangle, print it out and cut it out. We prepare in advance a narrow piece of paper with an interesting print (for example, a piece of wallpaper), equal to the height of the postcard.

We cut out a white cardboard rectangle of approximately the same size, on which we write the word “Diary” with a black marker and draw lines on which the personal data of the owner of the diary should be written. The edges of the diary can be slightly aged, made darker.

From ordinary gray and pale green corrugated cardboard we cut out the same rectangles with rounded corners, gray is a little more than green. From gray, we also cut out a narrow strip with a width equal to a rectangle.

Glue the green fragment to the center of the gray.

We glue a gray strip on top, and on it - round convex buttons prepared in advance. We get a briefcase with clasps.

We begin to collect postcards. In the middle of the base we paste a piece of wallpaper, on top - a text with congratulations, which we decorate around the perimeter with maple leaves.

We glue a briefcase and a diary from below, we also decorate them with maple leaves.

We all love to wander through the autumn park, admire the colors of autumn, and often, returning from walks, bring home bouquets of luxurious foliage ... What shades you will not see in autumn leaves! I propose, after a little conjuration over the leaves, to make a beautiful autumn scrapbooking card for the upcoming holiday - Teacher's Day.

So let's get started! On a fine day, we go to the park and collect leaves for drying, choose the most interesting ones in color. Since the card is small in size, we also choose small leaves.

You can dry them in various ways: in a book, in a special press, or simply by ironing them. The latter method is faster, and we will use it. We will iron the leaves with an iron not through a newspaper, but through light paper, so as not to leave marks from printing ink.

We check the condition of our leaves - a well-dried leaf rustles.

When the natural material is ready, we select the autumn leaves we like and make a sketch of the postcard.

Let's prepare the rest of the materials and tools needed to create a postcard on Teacher's Day:

- olive-colored designer cardboard - for the postcard base (the size of the folded postcard will be 130×180 mm);

- yellow cardboard - for the background on which the composition will be assembled (you will need a slightly smaller blank - 120×170 mm);

- a little light thick paper for pastels or watercolors;

- an ordinary clerical hole punch and a figured hole punch "Chamomile";

- embossing stick with a round tip;

- ruler, stationery knife and scissors;

- glue "Moment-crystal";

- packages for lamination (an iron will come in handy again);

- watercolor pencils or an orange Distress stamp pad.

First of all, we need to save the dried autumn leaves from mechanical damage. And we will do it with the help of lamination. This operation can be carried out at home. We will need packages for lamination (you can buy them in the online printing salon, 1-2 packages will be enough).

Open the package and put the dried material there.

We iron. In order not to spoil it (the overheated laminate warps), we also iron it through the paper. We set the thermostat of the iron to “silk”.

We check for light - air bubbles are visible.

We make the heating a little stronger and with the nose of the iron we pass closer to the contours of the sheet ...

Good now.

Cut out the laminated leaves along the glued part. The easiest way to do this is with nail scissors.

I decided that I would make a card in warm colors, so I chose olive-colored designer cardboard for the base of the scrapbooking card, and yellow for the background on which the composition will be assembled. But when I put the leaves on paper, I came to the conclusion that the background needs to be made warmer, not so contrasting. Decided to color it orange. For this, I used Distress stamp paint, but you can tint the paper with watercolors.

We also tint light thick paper (I use pastel paper). And from it with the help of a hole punch we will cut “daisies”.

In addition, I cut "daisies" from green paper.

So that the "daisies" are not completely flat, we give them volume. To do this, on a rubber cushion, we pass along the flower with an embossing stick with a round tip from the center to the edges of the petals. Then we turn the flower over and emboss its middle in a circular motion. As a result, our flowers acquire a beautiful shape and volume.

Next, on the reverse side of the background with a knitting needle, a non-writing pen or an embossing stick (bulk), we draw a double strip along each edge to get a kind of embossed frame (it is clearly visible in the photo below).

Then we lay our twig on the background and create a mask - we pass the stamp pad over the laminated material and around, while part of the background under the twig will remain untinted.

Preparing more paper pieces. We cut out the substrate for the inscription, align the corners, tint it. The inscription itself can be printed or written by yourself.

From olive-colored paper, cut thin strips wide 0.5-0.8mm(these will be curls for twigs), and with a hole punch we make circles - the middle for paper flowers.

We apply the laminated leaves to the background in accordance with the sketch. We glue them, slightly shifting relative to the mask. This will create a glowing effect and visually add volume.

We also lay out flowers, curls. If everything suits, glue. Let's see what happens.

I also want to add volume to the embossed frame - carefully go through it with a sponge.

Since the basis of our scrapbooking card is olive, the same color should be introduced into the decor. That is why we made flower centers and thin curls from olive paper. Now we will glue them, as well as the inscription "Happy Teacher's Day!"

Almost done. It remains to make the interior design of the postcard. We use the remaining materials for this.

It is necessary to print the diagram (it is better to do this on ordinary office paper), then cut it out, punch through and fold the postcard from thick colored paper for pastel or design cardboard, and then paste a contrasting color insert inside.
