HOLD

There are a huge number of spinners for winter perch fishing. They differ from each other in shape, color and character of the game. Among this set there are both homemade and purchased baits. Not so long ago, homemade products were very popular, but with the expansion of the range of fishing stores, they began to be forgotten about, but in vain. In this article, we will talk about some homemade spinners and how to make them yourself.

First about the benefits

Against the backdrop of a significant increase in prices, the relevance of homemade products is increasing, since the cost of their manufacture cannot even be compared with the cost of branded goods. Moreover, in most cases, you will only need to buy hooks, and all other elements are made from improvised means. This low cost of gear opens up new opportunities for bass fishing enthusiasts. Now you can fish in those strong places that you used to go around so as not to ruin the family budget due to the numerous breaks of branded lures.

Savings are not the only benefit. Self-manufacturing gear opens up a huge space for experimentation. For many anglers, this brings no less pleasure than the process of fishing itself. Sometimes even a slight change in the design of the spinner can greatly affect its play and effectiveness in catching perch. Through trial and error, the best option for specific conditions is found. Each next trip to the pond for the angler becomes not only a pleasant pastime, but also an occasion to test the next homemade products.

A distinctive feature of this spinner is its versatility. She changes her game depending on the angler's manipulations. A torpedo can sink vertically, twist, or deviate strongly from the vertical axis. Thanks to such performance characteristics, it is very popular among both athletes and winter fishing enthusiasts.

Spinner "Torpedka"

The first step in the manufacture of torpedoes is the creation of a blank. From a thin stainless metal, it is necessary to cut out the outline of the future baubles. For these purposes, it is better to use aluminum cans.

The resulting workpiece is bent in the center so that a symmetrical design is obtained, and its edges are processed with a small file or sandpaper.

To properly bend the workpiece in the longitudinal direction, it is best to use a template in the form of an ordinary tablespoon. It is enough to attach the future baubles to the cutlery and create the force necessary for deformation.

As fasteners, two swivels are used, interconnected by a strong wire or guitar string. The length of the wire is selected so that the bodies of the swivels are at the edges of the workpiece. Further, this entire mounting structure is soldered to an aluminum plate and filled with solder.

The final step is cleaning the inside. This work is carried out in stages - removing small layers of solder alternates with testing the bait in a container of water. The game of spinners depends on the amount of solder. The required result is selected experimentally.

To give the spinners shine, GOI paste is used. It is also necessary to use clockwork rings so that in the process of playing the fish the line does not cut on the sharp ends of the metal.

For shallow water

The game of this homemade perch is somewhat reminiscent of the game of a classic spinning oscillator. When swung, it rises almost vertically, oscillating along its longitudinal axis. The bait has proven itself very well when fishing for perch at depths of up to two meters.

To make it with your own hands, you need to cut a plate from a sheet of metal according to a template. With the help of steel rods and balls from bearings, the plate is given the desired shape, which is then filled with solder. After grinding and polishing, holes are drilled at the edges of the bait. Two rings are wound in them - a hook is attached to one, and a fishing line is tied to the second.

For cloudy water

Thanks to the shiny chrome surface, perch can see this lure from a distance, which makes it suitable for fishing in muddy waters, at depth or in cloudy weather.

The material used is a piece of chrome-plated pipe, which is cut into two plates. It is not necessary to unbend the plates to the end, since they should have a slight bend. The material is given a rounded shape of a fish. A hook of a suitable size is soldered to the wide end, and a hole for the fishing line is drilled in the narrow end.

"Carnation"

When jerking, the carnation pops up vertically, and on a pause, lies on its back and goes a little to the side. He has proven himself well when fishing at depth and in strong currents.

To make a carnation, it is necessary to cut out two diamond-shaped plates of different sizes from a sheet of copper with truncated tops lying on the larger axis. A larger rhombus is bent at an obtuse angle along its smaller axis. A loop of wire is soldered to the wider part of the smaller rhombus, which will serve to attach the hook. Rhombuses are soldered along the truncated tops, and the space between them is filled with solder. In the narrower side of the resulting structure, a hole is drilled for the mounting ring.

"Karasik"

This homemade lure is distinguished by its sailing action. After a jerk, it slowly, swaying from one side to the other, sinks to the bottom. There were cases when it was the crucian carp that showed the best results in shallow-water perch.

To make a carp with your own hands, you need to cut a rhombus from a sheet of copper and bend it along the smaller axis. A triangular metal plate and a hook are soldered to the lower half, and a hole for the mounting ring is drilled in the upper half.

"Balda"

This bait is also called "eggs". Balda does not have any spectacular game, but the perch loves her very much. He is attracted not by the game of the bait, but by the dregs that she raises when she falls.

To make eggs, two hooks and a cylindrical load, in which a hole is drilled, will be enough. All these elements are put on a thick fishing line in the hook-weight-hook sequence so that the stings of the hooks are turned away from the sinker. Additionally, you can use various decorative elements (beads, thread).

In terms of efficiency, home-made spinners are in no way inferior to their factory counterparts, and in some cases even surpass them. Any angler can make himself a sufficient number of catch lures without spending a lot of money.
