This fact is confirmed by the drawings found by archaeologists on the walls of the tombs.

The ancient Greeks often baked meat in a dough of flour and water, which made it juicy and acquired a rich taste. This ancient recipe resembles a modern meat pie.

According to some historians, pies began to be prepared in Russia much earlier than in European countries. Indisputable proof of this is the entry in the diary of Adam Olearius, which he made after returning from Muscovy. Therefore, the most successful ideas for a quick dessert will be a variety of biscuits, muffins, cottage cheese pancakes or shortcrust pastry cookies.

Quick and Easy Tea Pie Recipes

Every housewife knows by heart how to cook her favorite very quick delicious cake for tea, without even looking at the recipe. Biscuit with apples (charlotte) is recognized as one of the most popular sweet dishes. You will need:

  • eggs - 4 pcs.;
  • sugar - 1 tbsp.;
  • flour - 1 tbsp.;
  • apples - 2 pcs.

If you do not have apples, you can add any other filling to this instant pie. Dried fruits, raisins or dried apricots, or other fresh fruits like peaches or pears work well. If you don’t have anything on hand, add a tablespoon of cocoa powder, dry poppy seeds or coconut flakes to the dough. Prepare like this:

  1. Separate the whites from the yolks. Whip the whites with a mixer or a whisk until stiff peaks form. Add egg yolks and sugar to the mixture.
  2. Slowly add a glass of flour to the sugar-egg mixture. Don't stop whipping.
  3. Add your chosen filler. Fruits need to be peeled and cut into small pieces. Stir with a spoon.
  4. Put the dough into a mold (choose silicone or metal lined with foil). Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes.

To effectively decorate a biscuit, use powdered sugar, cinnamon, multi-colored confectionery sprinkles. If time permits, make a glaze of chocolate or egg white with sugar, grease the biscuit with jam.

Another recipe for a quick tea pie is reminiscent of a classic homemade sour-milk-based cake. To bake it, you will need the following ingredients:

  • eggs - 2 pcs.;
  • flour - 2 tbsp.;
  • sugar - 150 g;
  • kefir, yogurt, fermented baked milk, sour cream (or any fermented milk product) - 1 cup;
  • soda - 1 teaspoon;
  • lemon or vinegar;
  • dried fruits or berries.

Like the biscuit, this very easy simple pie recipe allows for a choice of toppings. You can add raisins, nuts, finely chopped dried apricots to the cake. Berries, such as frozen cranberries, are perfect. Try to make a very original cupcake and add chocolate broken into small pieces. You can add a tablespoon of dessert liqueur. Prepare like this:

  1. Beat the eggs with sugar with a mixer in a dense foam.
  2. Slowly pour a glass of kefir or yogurt into the mixture, then pour in the flour. Continue beating the dough until smooth.
  3. Quench an incomplete teaspoon of baking soda with lemon juice or vinegar. Stir.
  4. Then add your chosen filler.
  5. Put the dough into a silicone mold and put in the oven for 40 minutes.
